Part of the reason edmonton says they need a new arena is because the seating Is too small. The peg hopes depend too much on coperate cllients ponying up cash year in and year out. The team would need to be at 100percent everygame. The nhl is propping up too many teams and they don't want to be in a position to do it with a moived team. The nhl has had billion dollor owners who walked after losing too much money and to say the canadian dollor and how it rates against the usa dollor is no a factor is being nieve. Canadian teams take a beating everytime the buck goes down

Again your not listening. These are not idiots who want the team. These are very astute businessmen. This has nothing to do with corporate support year after year this has to do with a business group with a plan and a deep pocket backing to get through the lean years. You make money some years and you lose money some years and you make it work for the city you love. That is what this is about.
The only people that don't want this to work are people that seem to love seeing empty buildings in Phoenix or Atlanta. You talk about propping up teams yet when a ownership group as strong as the one you have in a known hockey market wants a team it is suddenly a bad idea.
