rangers are 4-5-1 in their last 10 so i think with this tough stretch of games they're in the middle of, they need to cool the devils off here. callahan and dubinsky have shaken off the rust and its time for them to throw the team on their backs and get going again...the rangers play the following teams after tonight to round out the month @MTL, @DET, @ATL, PIT, LA, @NJ, PHI, @CAR, @WSH, TB. thats not exactly easy. do we consider this a must win especially with teams like PHI, DET, and TB coming up??

yep we certainly do.
regardless of who they have coming up, they HAVE to beat teams below them in the standings... they just have to. especially big rivalry games on home ice, they need to get the home ice thing figured out sooner than later.

#NYR lines: Prospal-Stepan-Gaborik, Dubinsky-Anisimov-Callahan, Zuccarello-Boyle-Prust, Avery-Drury-Wolski
Not a fan of the third and fourth lines. Would much prefer:

Wolski - Boyle - Zuccarello
Avery - Drury - Prust

Ja. I feel Wolski-Boyle-Zuccarello could do some serious ****ing damage.

Tortorella said he felt McDonagh-Sauer was the best #NYR defense pair against Pittsburgh.
Means DZ and Gilroy remain paired together I guess. Really wasn't a fan of that pairing either.

I've also found that Zuccarello seems a lot less effective on the left wing.

The PP needs to pot one (at least) tonight. It has been a momentum sucking hole for this team for too long. Pick it up boys!

Scratches head @ Tortorella lines.

Why not:

Wolski--Stepan--Zuccarello
Avery--Prospal--Gaborik
Prust--Drury--Boyle

??

I like the Dubinsky--Anisimov--Callahan line.

^^^ I brought this up about zucca in the last game. He is still creative and can pass well from the left, but he doesn't seem to be able to get himself into scoring positions on that side

Come on Torts what the hell are you doing?

Also MDZ-Gilroy is a horrible pairing as much as I love MDZ. Please put Eminger in for one of them, Torts.

tbh guys, we get way too hung up on lines. this year's team is a lot more about giving those guys who are going ice time. this isnt like tampa where there is an obvious line 1 and the rest are fillers. we're even strength across the board and torts will juggle accordingly. i'm fine with it

Eminger was told by Torts that being scratched "is not forever"....Torts also confirmed that Eminger is healthy scratch, not hurt

Tortorella said game conditions would determine whether he'd roll four lines. He also did not want to tag Avery-Drury-Wolski as "4th line."
Any line with Drury is the fourth line.

I like the lines...

maybe having some speed and skill on that line will help spark Drury.

Correct me if I'm wrong but with a win tonight we'd go into 5th place infront of the Caps. Who at the beginning of the season thought we'd be only a couple points behind them, with the chance of going ahead this late into the season.

Must wintonight! LGR!

We'd have equal points, but they'd have a game in hand.

But the Rangers would move ahead because they have/would have more wins.
