The good: nothing
The bad: this team
the redden: knowing the outcome of the game before the halfway point of the third period

Two games in a row where we would have had two points if we scored on open nets. They should do an open net drill for 3 hours in practice. ****ing Christ.

Wait a minute. Can I add that friggin town idiot Michaletti as my Redden for vehemently saying that puck went in?

If anybody needed just one reason to get this guy off the damn airwaves, it was that.

Jesus Christ was a tool

Right here. I've been sick of Del Zotto for a year and a half now. Never liked him. Not only is he putrid defensively, I just don't see him as such an amazing puck mover as so many people seem to think he is. He's incredibly overrated.

You can blame him for the giveaway before the goal but you can not blame him for trying to bail out his goalie. Tell me, what would you do?

Because knee jerk worst case scneario reactions are the norm. This team will make the playoffs and they'll get their act together. This is typical fans here in NYR land.

They should've won tonight. They should've won the alst 3 in all honesty but thems the breaks. If they win 2 in a row people will switch again so fast.

anywhooo:

POTG: Prospal
The Good: Prospal, Callahan
The Bad: Hank
The Redden: DZ

Because we're too close in the playoff race to **** away games we SHOULD win. Which is exactly what is happening.

This team needs to learn how to ****ing hit an open net.

Yes. I know. But that was just such a ****** play by Girardi there. Any other player taps it under their goalie. He lets lose a wrister, basically. Where's the hockey sense in him, I wonder, sometimes?

Like any other D-man, I would have pushed it under Lundqvist. Not shot it into him so it bounces off. Simple hockey sense.

I'm not really killing Girardi here. He just has these random lapses that piss me off. Any other d-man would have tucked it under his goalie, rather than shooting it at his back.

Came real close to a lucky break at the end there. For the Habs game: How about starting to play hockey in the ****ing first period instead of waiting for the third?

Yeah, and try getting a god damn shot off on the power play.

POTG: Prospal
The Good: 3rd period
The Bad: The two first periods. Yeah, and Lundquist and Drury.
The Redden: MZA's giveaway at 3-0. Terrible.

Henrik **** the bed tonight. Oh well, goalies have bad games. We continue to miss open nets and look like a beer league team running the power play.

This is why I laugh when people say, "Torts for coach of the year!" or, "Let's go get a good rental!" This team is not consistent enough to go anywhere this year.
Agreed, that is definitely part of it. Fact of the matter is that this is an unlucky franchise though. James Cameron couldn't have wrote a script predictable enough for this game. It's the same old story.

REALLY with this reaction?

Torts is the best in-game coach we've had since I can remember, why the bashing?

POTG = Prospal for his 1st game back goal
The good - none
The bad - none
The Redden - Too many to list

The fail in this game was strong

Failure of effort in 1st 2 periods
Failure to hit open nets
Failure to stop pucks from going in net
Failure on the PP
Failure to ice lines that make sense
Fail
Fail
Fail
and more fail!!!!!!

Other than that it was a good game.

Everyone is sick of del zotto! He will not play the next game, I would be SHOCKED if he did.

The Good: Prospal and avery, Biron in relief (he should start in Montreal as Hank sucks there)
The Bad: Girardi had a rough game, as did Zucc and does not belong on the point
The Redden: Del Zotto, Hank, our PP, Torts and the coaching staff

This team needs a PP quarterback and Sather is going to trade for one because until we can score PP goals we are going to keep losing and soon we will be out of the playoffs, Atl and Carolina can't lose forever

Sather has a track record of trading for a PP quarterback for the playoff push
Ozolinsh
Poti
Morris

It will happen again, and I am beginning to think sooner than later, I wonder what assets we will part with? Sather cannot afford for this team to miss the playoffs and I am expecting an overpayment soon
