An example of pure grit.

Last year, the Canadiens were 0 for 28 when trailing after two periods.

That must be because of our defensive system. We're so defensive that we can't even score. Or maybe they say we have a defensive system just because we can't score. Yeah.

They were also tied for first (I think with Nashville) for the team that lost the most games by one goal

Yep , other teams play a strong defensive game when they have the lead after 2 ... and with our poor offensive potential it was tuff to win .

But we lost so much game by 1 goal that is not even funny .

BTW what's the point of this thread ? Grit have nothing to do with this .

grit also has something to do with grinding it out and getting dirty garbage goals, goals that usually get teams back into games...

it is easily reachable to suggest that the canadians softness as a team is atleast involved in the reasons that they couldn't come from behind, they didn't grind it out enough perhaps..

it's workable

What this suggests to me is that the Canadiens have no real gamebreaker, a guy who can go out there and generate that needed goal.

Well yeah, we do have a gamebreaker...

Gimme a sec here...

How about Traverse who keeps breaking the game by scoring on his own goal? Doesn't that count?
