Apparently people in Philly are pissed at Richards for wearing a Yankee's cap. How stupid.

I care. He can wear whatever he wants but it still pisses me off. Also, Richards is a Red Sox fan, so I don't know why he'd wear a Yankees hat to begin with.

I thought Boucher was a Sox fan.

I could care less if they are fans of other teams. They probably all like Canadian hockey teams as it is.

I wouldn't get worked up about it but I don't like it. I don't care what team he's a fan of but wearing the hat in public is just a **** you to the fans.

I also guarantee alot of Philadelphians will be *****ing about it tomorrow.

We care pretty much because we're not going to get an answer. If it was known that he's enjoyed the Yankees since he was a kid or something, instead of what's likely him just wearing it to wear it, it probably wouldn't be an issue. But just wearing it to wear it...eh. Questioning should be expected.

Check out this chart (Flyers -11) produced by someone who covers the Predators. It discusses NHL suspensions.

http://www.ontheforecheck.com/2011/2...cial-treatment

Quote:
Does the NHL Hockey Operations group, headed by Colin Campbell, hand out disciplinary suspensions in a fair manner? Is it possible that personal biases and long-standing relationships influence judgments in favor of some teams, and against others?
Quote:
When I dug through the data*, however, I found something quite different. The table below summarizes the 130 suspensions handed down since the lockout (2005-6 season to present) for on-ice violence between players which required judgment from Hockey Operations. I excluded statutory suspensions, such as the automatic one for taking an Instigator penalty in the last five minutes of a game, etc. I wanted to simply capture instances in which Hockey Operations had to look at an incident and make a call as to whether suspension was justified.

The Perpetrators column shows how many times each team had a player suspended, and the Victims column reflects which team received the hit which resulted in a suspension. So for example, the Rangers have had four players suspended since the lockout for on-ice incidents (Dale Purinton, Ryan Hollweg, and Colton Orr in 2005-6, then Hollweg again in 2007-8) while having been the victims in such incidents 11 times. The table is sorted from highest number of "Victims" to lowest.

Well, I guess it helps that Carcillo gets 2 games and Briere gets 2 games and then again 3 games for virtually the same incident that Glenncross and Semin simply get fined, Glenncross being a repeat offender.

I'd only take it as a **** you to the fans (Flyer fans) if he wore, say - a Maple Leaf hat or something. It's a completely different sport. I couldn't care less.

On a happier note - my fantasy team blows, but at least I have Franzen. LOL

Question regarding the Devils. They are losing a draft pick in the next three years because of the Kovy deal. But which one? I can't find anything about that and everyone just says "they get to pick" but does not back it up with any facts like when they have to pick by etc. Anyone have any definitive answer to this question? I would ask it on the Devils board but I can't stand going over there.

I believe they have to pick before the 2011 NHL entry draft.

saw this earlier on NHL on the fly. They speculated he may have got his bell rung earlier and might have been dealing with a concussion.
Hope the guy is ok. Always had a soft spot for Meyer.

EDIT: I just saw the Daniel Paille hit on Sawata. total blindside hit. I am guessing someone will be getting a call from the NHL office.
