Hmm, live at the game I figured Hornqvist had pushed Bob and that's why he was so out of position, but the contact was minimal if it really occured, and Bob didn't see the pass go across and just went down to stop a shot that never came. If that had stood, it would have been an awful softie for him. His rebounds are a little juicy lately as well, but maybe I'm just getting greedy.

The GWG was amazing. Giroux's pass was filthy, and Leino's backhander was otherworldly. Also, really liked the work Kimmo did to set up Carter's first goal.

In Finland, Kimmo Timonen means "work"

Nashville has a nice team. Their owners or whever should be ashamed of themselevs for not opening up the checkbook to bring in a few more offensive players. If they did they would be very tough out come playoff time.

BTW, seeing Kimmo and Hartnell in Nashville sweaters in the first post is weird.

Richards ice time the last 2 games has been rather low. He hasnít played all that well, still shaking the costa rica rust off, it is obvious he line is #3. I would like to see them make a trade sooner rather than later to replace Nodsie. The guy offers nothing. He is dragging Richards down at this point. Move up carcillo for a few games to get than line going a little. Powe is another one that is getting on my nerves. His forte is on the pk and he has done a avg job at that. He cost them the 2nd goal.

You have to make money to spend it, and they still did spend a decent chunk considering they lost Hamhuis and Arnott. I'd imagine something comes at the deadline for them, too.

There was no contact. Hornqvist just put on a picture perfect screen; Bob completely couldn't see that puck go back the other way. I don't know if I'd really say it was 'soft,' per se....it was a really, really good job done by Hornqvist. It was a bad call, and we got lucky.

Bob does need to get his rebounds out of the slot, though. But I think he's still been pretty good. There's time yet.

Carter also made a really good pass corner to corner to Giroux on the GWG.

They are really starting to find each other. On Carter's goal, Giroux as decoy going to the net allowed Carter to look off the goalie and shoot blind.

I thought they made a great move to snag Matthew Lombardi, and of course he got hurt.

If anybody wants to watch Clarkie's banner celebration that occured during yesterday's game, it's now on YouTube:

Also, Bobby Clarke set to 16 Tons by Johnny Cash. Perfection.

Yes, that was great work by Carter. He was definitely one of the guys who came out to play after the team failed to show in Tampa.

Funny thing about Tampa. The goal differential of the top 4 teams in the East is +41, +4, +44, +44, the second of course being the Lightning. That is wacky.

I love Johnny Cash and Clarke is one of my favorite Flyers ever. That was, as you put it, Perfection.

Probably not a shock but Boucher is the expected starter tomorrow.

Nashville HD feed showing the Clarkie ceremony

Carter is in beast mode right now, his line is playing very well and he and Roo are rubbing off on Z, although that shift with Leino was incredible.

So I made an effort to really watch Nodl, as some people here reaaly think he is playing well and I wanted to pay close attention to him. My new impression of him is he is even worse than I thought, he is completely neuturing Richie and JVR. He is no more than a 4th liner at this point of his carreer and he should be not in the top 9. We def need to make a trade for a UFA vet fwd to play with those 2. Nodl turned the puck over numerous times and has Zero offensive instincts. If they refuse to make a trade, Carcillo needs to be tried with 18 and 21 .

^ Terry Crisp is one of Clarkie's best friends, too. Ex-Flyer current Nashville broadcaster.
