You have your right to your opinion, but I suggest watching Alzner more.

A lot of people forget team needs. Wash values a young stay at home Dman over another flashy young forward. Simple as that. Both have great value....to the correct trading partner.

Alzner... worth significantly more than Eberle.

Well, I learn something new every time I come to the proposals board.

isn't semin the cap's best pker?
he's too valuable to them imo.

A soft forward who scores 40+ goals a year. I love how Oiler fans say "we are stacked on the wings." We have Hemsky, Penner, Omark, Pajaarvi, Hall, Eberle. If you put Hall at Center we are not "stacked" on the wings. We have maybe 90 goals out of the remaining wingers. Semin would be a significant upgrade on all our wingers.
If it cost us Hemsky, we could still move Penner for defensive help.

Carlson and Alzner are pretty much untouchable for the Caps. Regardless of what fair value might be, the Caps will not be trading either for anything except a huge overpayment.

I think we have a major roadblock here. Washington fans think Alzner has more value than Hemsky.

Oiler fans wouldn't trade Hemsky for Alzner straight up.

Oh well!

You should try taking your own advice. Alzner's job isn't to put up points. It's to be an excellent defensive defenseman, which he is. Eberle might become a gamebreaker, but Alzner seems to be becoming a guy capable of playing Suter-caliber defense 25 minutes a night, though without as much offense. Still I believe he's got the aptitude for consistently putting up 30 point seasons, if only Boudreau gave him some ******* PP time and offensive responsibility.

Hemsky is a very good player.

You won't find a Caps fan who is interested in trading Alzner, though.

An injury-prone winger for a 22 year old top pairing shutdown D.

Why not?

Not all of us. I like Alzner, but he's not enough to get Hemsky.

Because when trading your best player, you should try to get full value in return.

The problem is, we won't get full value for Hemsky because of his injury history.

I can't see Was trading away one of their young dman that is cap friendly and is under control for many more years. I don't see Hemsky as a player that Was needs. I am an Oiler fan also.
