Amazing. Finally a win in ATL.
Time to start the "beat LA!" chants now.

This final stretch is just getting crazy. No one seems to be letting go, which means the games against those team fighting for the last place will be key. Next game against LA will be one of those.

But then again, 2 months to go and anything can happen. Will be really interesting to see what the standings look like at the end of March.

Wow, another win. Great job by the Flames!! I have to say I think a large part of the turn around is because D. Sutter is gone. Either way, remarkably the playoffs are now a reality.

On another note, man was that crowd in Atl a poor turnout.

Aren't they getting hammered by snow? Could be wrong, maybe they just have a bad fan base.

What a dig fight the playoff race has become! Fun to watch. Ultimate bad would be the Flames finishing 9th... this close I hope they are in the post season and give em hell. A win in LA will be a great step in the standings.

Flames keep on rollin'. Nice to finally have a win in Atlanta.

Great game from Backlund, and it was nice to see Sutter praising him in the post-game comments. Giordano and Regehr also played well.

Morrison certainly doesn't look out of place on that top line with Tanguay and Iginla, huh? He's been a great addition to this team.

only caught the first couple of periods. But again it seemed as though the team turned in a decent and consistent performance.

Nice to see backlund get a dirty goal.

Please someone level Brown next game!

Calgary played OK - good team defence, but to be honest they got outplayed because of Atlanta's speed. Picked up a couple tripping penalties because of it, but the strong PK kicked in, so no damage IIRC.

Still a good win - to be outplayed by speed and have us still pull through gives me hope.

I actually thought Backlund looked pretty dam good the few shifts that he got with Iggy. Morrison has been doing really good there as well, but I wouldn't mind seeing Backlund get a few more occasional shifts on the top line.
