As for the discussion...

X-2 and IX were horrible and I flat out quit.

VII and VI were by far the best and I finished multiple times.

VIII and XII were enjoyable and I finished at least twice, the card games and hunting quests were fantastic.

X was okay and I finished it once, blitzball was its most redeeming quality.

I played XIII on a rental and got halfway through, but decided to not re-rent to finish it. It seemed like it had SO much potential because I enjoyed the class system IDEA and such... but it just did not deliver at all... and how the **** do you not have a world map in this day and age? Are we playing ****ing Mario Bros. or an expansive RPG?
FF Tactics was pretty damn good, Mathematicians ftw! But it doesn't hold up to Ogre Battle Tactics, so I can't say it is the best in the FF series.

IX wasn't horrible, but X-2 seriously was. X-2 was geared more towards teenage girls I think.

I remember my friend didn't rename Garnet to something different than the ever so clever Dagger...

As for Mario Brothers, I believe even they had a world map

Hell's yeah. Battlefield 3 will be released in the fall of this year for the PC, PS3 and 360. What I love about it, is that they are going back to some original formulas for the PC version, as in 64 player games and jets (yes the 64 players is PC only). I played BF1942, BF2 and BC2, and I know I'm going to love this.

Some tips about Mass Effect 2 is search everywhere you can. There are usually hidden weapons crates and armor around. Some good weapons can be found. Also, make sure you are 100% sure of a decision. Every decision tends to effect your future and Mass Effect 3 will have a huge effect based upon prior decisions. Try to recruit every character you can also.

8 was solid. It wasn't as good as 7 or 9, but still I think the third best. Maybe I'm just biased because I played 7 and 8 before the older ones so I never really got into them. I had the first one as a kid but I was too young to really play it (same thing with Dragon Warrior for NES, which going back and playing it was actually more fun than FFI IMO).

Exactly. If anything it is more fun trying to figure out where to go/what to do than just basically putting the game on autopilot and letting everything be done for you essentially (I know FFXIII wasn't that simple, but IMO it was not nearly as complex as 7-9).

Yes. The best part of FF7 was going around looking for the Weapons.

Although watching Knights of the round for 15min was a bit tedious.

Haha, yeah. The battle with Safer Sephiroth was soooooo annoying because of all the cut scenes.

I wonder, does the PSN version still have the Omnislash glitch?

I own an actual copy of FF7 and I have a problem with the Omnislash glitch.

Yea I still own mine I also still have VIII. VII is not in the best condition but it does work after a couple tries. It survived a flood in my basement I was shocked it still worked.

Final Fantasy games I own:

IV, V, VI (GBA ones for these first 3), VII, VIII, IX, X, X-2, XII, Crisis Core and FFT: WotL. All physical copies.

For FFVII, the 3rd disk had to be resurfaced with one of those disc doctors, so it works fine now. I have the Omnislash glitch though in my current save, which means I can't manually learn Omnislash, I can only learn it at the end of the game, like you're normally supposed to, which is ANNOYING.

I had one, but back in those days we would often lend each other games, and I think someone "forgot" to give it back to me.

I own FF IV, VI, IX, X, XII and XIII for PS, PS2 and PS3.

I also have "The Final Fantasy Legend", some cheesy gameboy game.

I never played crisis core, do they have that on PSN? I don't own a PSP.

I own two.

My original from the year it came out, complete with a nice crack down the middle. No booklet. all 3 discs run fine.

Then I bought another one on ebay that was basically new. Fresh booklet, cd trays, discs. Both are black label (not greatest hits)

Like I said, Its my favorite game of all time. So yeah, it was worth it to me to buy a completely sexy one. They are getting rarer and rarer, but Ill never sell it. Ill probably put it in my coffin.

You know what would be awesome? If I could play a single game of Black Ops without at least two people on my team going 4-25 or something like that.

That's been happening a lot in Ground War too. Last night, I got in a lobby (don't know why I stayed in) that had 2 guys split-screening who were always on my team. We were fine in Domination because there were enough people going hard at flags, but they singlehandedly lost us a few Deathmatches. They combined to go 2-40something in one of them. We lost by about 3000, so that was all them.

I have yet to experience that. Some horrendous players out there.
