Mueller sent back to Milwaukee, Sullivan back

Ok, sounds like time for them to get on AHL reps while the big boys rest on the break.

From this move, looks like Sullivan and Dumont will be back after the break.

I thought Dumont was back? It's probably just for the all-star break so they can get some playing time in.

Either it's to get them playing time and save the team a few thousand dollars per day over the break or both Sully and Toots are soon to return. Svatos and O'Reilly aren't due back from their surgeries yet.

I think it's strictly a money-saver.

It's both. Save money and get these guys some time in Milwaukee. They are in a playoff fight too. Also, capgeek has the savings at about.

Mueller: $13,440 for 5 days
Halischuk: $16,465 for 5 days

So a savings of $30,000.

Projected cap space per Capgeek is 9.3 million with 1.2 million in rookie bonuses not included.

The AHL All Star game festivities begin with a skills competition on Sunday and conclude with the game on Monday night. Klasen and Dekanich will represent the Ads...

OK, so it was purely for the money, since obviously the wont be playing any games with milwaukee before tuesday.

I wonder if they both come right back up or if Sully really is ready to come off IR and Halischuk will stay down?

Mueller had a SHG last night (his 4th SHG of the season!!!) playing on the PK with Halischuk (who assisted). Mueller and Halischuk combined with Gabriel Bourque to form the Ads second line last night in their 8-1 rout of Peoria. Geoffrion had 5 points and Klasen scored his 20th of the year as well.

They play again tonight in Rockford before the AS break...

Based on my math, O'Reilly's 12 weeks ends on March 27th with 6 games left in the season. I highly doubt he's back so, Unless there is a trade for a center, Mueller should be back soon.

This was in the Tennessean:

Quote:
Sullivan on the mend: The shroud of lower-body injury secrecy has been removed from Sullivan. The forward said he has a chronic groin injury.

Sullivan hasn't played since Dec. 23 and could not put a timetable on his return. He did skate Monday for the first time since injury, however.

"We're going to make sure that it's healed correctly and that I'm able to make a difference when I get out there," Sullivan said.

Old rascal just couldn't help himself. He had to get in there for Detroit. Who becomes the 4th center? My guess is Halischuck takes Spaling spot on the wing on Smithson's line and Spaling centers Dumont and Sully.

um... ok... why did we send the center back to make room for the wing??

Im guessing this means Spaling is going to be on a seperate line from smithson.

Maybe Ward/Smithson/Dumont?

Sully/Spaling/Halischuk?

doesnt make much sense to me... would have expected Sully/Mueller/Dumont with Hals back down

yeah, i suppose this makes more sense just wasnt sure if Hals would be appropriate for our shutdown line(with Smithson and Ward) since we were facing the Wings

It's possible that Sully doesn't play. Could have Belak in the lineup.

Sullivan... YUCK

Yay for more floating while avoiding contact and giving up the puck at the mere thought of contact.

Not that our offense is on fire without him at the moment however. I attribute that to the return of Erat though.
