I'm hoping they do as well. Only makes sense after he had a very good bounce back game against the Preds.

Pretty impressive, and hopefully the game tonight will be a good one since we don't see the Stars very often.
I thought they would be the worst team in the league, quite frankly.

Like CG said, this game is a measuring stick. Let's show them what we're made of.

One of the all time great videos. L'il lady once pointed out that the only thing missing was Stevie wearing a Flyers Jersey.

A solid win would be nice. As much as I'll still take the 2 points and a controversial win a la vs the Preds 2 nights ago I'd rather just relax and watch a 6-1 Flyers blowout.

I was really looking forward to staying up for this one (I'm not 12, but am in the UK for the year) hoping that Burish would be in the line-up...

I am sure someone would have kicked this ******* into next week, I didn't think it would be Andrew Ference though.

Should be a good game, but looking to see the Flyers take it to em.

I might miss this one, which is annoying as crap. I caught 78 games last year, and now that the team is actually good I'll be lucky to see 70. I expect this game won't be a blowout.

Torn ACLs are significant. As far as I understand, a torn ACL always requires surgery especially for athletes while that is rarely the case with the MCL, depending on the grade of the injuries.

This is from a newspaper in Pittsburgh...

http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/11036...#ixzz1D7P9FZRA

Quote:
Penguins forward Evgeni Malkin has two torn ligaments in his right knee -- the anterior cruciate ligament and the medial collateral ligament -- and will be out for an extended period of time, perhaps the rest of the season.

Coach Dan Bylsma said Malkin and doctors are still looking at options for treatment, but surgery is at least a good possibility. Surgery could require months of recovery time.

Malkin was injured during the second period of Friday's 3-2 win over Buffalo when he and Sabres defenseman Tyler Myers collided along the end boards. He had an MRI this morning, yielding the diagnosis, which reached Bylsma just as the team was ending practice at Consol Energy Center.

My one friend tore her ACL (hyperflexed and hyperextended) and it took her a long time to really even get back where she is now and it's still not the best. Malkin is probably out for the season and the playoffs.

I sprained all 4 ligaments in my knee a long time ago and the doctor said I would have been better off tearing one than hurting all 4. Tearing more than 1 ligament means he won't be completely back for 18 months. 1 you can get back from in a year. 2 makes it way tougher, stability is really compromised.

I am not a doctor but I play one on TV.
