Kari Lehtonen is the first goalie to start a career winless in his first 11 games against an opponent since Kevin Weekes vs. Ottawa.

Not the best game they've ever played, but 2 points is 2 points!

Good job boys!

From reading HFBoards, I'd always assumed there just weren't shutouts in the 80s, and every game had 20 goals scored.

Argh, I wish Boosh had shot it on net there.

Yup. No bad goals, and defense didn't need to bail him out.

Right now I feel more comfortable with Boucher in net than I do with Bobs.

Anyways - nice game against a good team. Good to see Boucher play well. Giroux continues to be the best forward out there almost every night. Zherdev seems to be getting smarter if that's possible. He has always had the ability to turn the puck up-ice quickly but lately he seems to be doing this in his own zone rather than just throwing it up the middle.

I like Dallas as a team - some big wingers, they skate hard and are physical. Surprising they don't have a couple better defenseman. Seems to me they could trade a pick or a forward, get some help back there and be a very dangerous team if they aren't already.

I switched over to the Preds game, just in time for intermission. Alice Cooper was the guest (huge Wings fan). Terry Crisp told a story about when he was playing for the Flyers, and was on the elevator heading to his room. The doors opened and in stepped Alice Cooper, just coming from a show, complete with makeup. Scared the hell out of Crisp, and he had no idea who he was, until the next day when his teammates told him!

I concur about Zherdev....He is showing a lot of patience with the puck and is making a lot of very smart plays....I like his skills a lot !

Don't think I've ever seen a restaurant where I'd be embarrassed to read off whatever I wanted to order to the waiter/waitress.

one thing I noticed about tonights game is that the flyers played some pretty flawless hockey in the third (with the lead)... they didnt sit back, they controlled the flow of the game, and it ultimately led them to the 3-1 lead instead of a 2-2 game

Very cool!

He also said his son is getting married in April. His son was playing hockey and took a shot on net and hit the goalie in the shoulder. The goalie stood up, removed the helmet and long blonde hair came falling out. Alice said he told his son "she's beautiful, she loves you, and she loves hockey - MARRY THIS GIRL!".
