I only saw one replay, but Girardi looked totally lost on that. Staal had the other Montreal player in front, and Girardi was just spacing out.

Any word on disciplinary action for Brian Boyle's hit? Seems to be pretty quiet.

We didn't deserve to win that game.

4 powerplays in a row and we can't score one? Hell, we can't even set up! Inexcusable.

I missed the game. I had it DVR'd but accidentally spoiled it for msyelf with 3 mins left and saw the score. I'm glad this game happenned though because I got to see Foxhound get absolutely DESTROYED by about 8 people . Wasn't he suspended for a month recently? Might be time to extend that.

Team has overachieved all season. Sucks it's come to a sudden stop but man this season to date has been a helluva ride. This was a damn good team, at times one of the top in the league. Says a good deal about the likely future of this team. Anyone who thinks this wasn't a good team isn't very hockey smart at all.

I'm still holdin hope they're gonna get healthy AND back in step with one another. I'd rather they break down with 25 games left than 5. Next 3-5 games will probably be a roller coaster but by the end of the month we'll know if they are gonna come out of it or fade away. Either way been a fantastic ride this season well beyond what I thought they'd do. Shame some pathetic bandwaaaahhhhgon fans are too bitter to admit that in lieu of being "right"

Seriously tho we should prob all just put the guy on ignore he just doesn't know hockey. He doesn't even know Biron was good today (refer to his Good bad Redden selections) so you guys are getting mad at like a dog or something he doesn't know any better man.

Or leave him unblocked for a good laugh

Gabs doesn't suck but man he has lost "it" this year.

Agreed. I think MDZ looked just fine out there.
POTG Biron
God The W2-Stephan-Zucca line.
Bad the powerplay
The Redden Players are snakebitten.

And by the way,Zucca is NOT a point man on the powerplay.

I could care less who's fault that was on the Gomez goal. It only put them up 1-0. We should have scored later on. The PP is pathetic and it was this entire season and most of last season. It's terrible and it seems like everyone on the Rangers is just ignoring it.

2 points in 3 games isn't pathetic. It's not great, and the team needs him to do more, but it's certainly not pathetic

That's pretty what I was saying yesterday. He always seems to drift away from the point, and does not seem to be able to keep the puck in very well.

He also doesn't seem to have a very good slapshot. He has a quick release, but there's not much in terms of power, which is obviously an important asset to have if you're going to QB a powerplay. Just take him off before he makes a mistake and costs us a goal. Put Staal and Del Zotto at the point until we find a PPQB.

Yup, it's much proven you have a hard time winning when you don't score goals.

Oh, and some of the comments in this thread are downright silly. One particular poster did not even watch the game, and criticizes the Rangers for mailing it in, which, as anyone who did watch will verify, was hardly the case. Another poster wants to rebuild, when essentially, that is what has been going on for the past three years. Oh, and apparently a four-game losing streak in February is more indicative of what defines this team than any of the hard-fought victories at Pittsburgh, Boston, Dallas and St. Louis.

Before the season began, I predicted this team to not make the playoffs. But, as a fan, I was okay with that, as long as I saw the continued infusion of young talent. I believed this to be a transition year. Well, they've exceeded my expectations, and they've infused youth. I am more than happy where they are right now. This team is playing four rookies and three 2nd year players on a nightly basis. The leadership is in the hands of young homegrown players. And, in spite of all of this, they are in a solid playoff position right now. Like I said, they've far exceeded my expectations.

Well, PPQB is supposed to Del Zotto, which he was last year. But, he seems to have forgotten what his responsibilites are on the PP. Part of the reason MDZ made the team last year was because Ranger brass raved about how he could run a PP.

I think Del Zotto could use a veteran defenseman to teach him the little things that he's doing wrong. He's trying to make too many complicated plays, and is so predictable on the breakout. If he just plays on instinct, good things happen. Look at Cally's powerplay goal against the Pens, for example. Just get the puck to net, it's never a bad thing to do.

to me, being a PP QB isn't the same as being the shooter on the PP. those are 2 different animals. the QB is the guy who directs the puck to where it has to go, the shooter is the guy who waits for the pass and bombs away.

Eh, I don't know when any of this nonsense will be updated. My laptop is still in for repairs (probably until Tuesday). If anyone can do the PGT for me next game, please PM me.
