The ovation the Habs fans gave Brodeur when he tied Roy was once of the coolest things I have ever seen. I am trying to think of a time in pro sports history when an home crowd gave an opposing player such an ovation, things like this is why I am so fond of Montreal. Great city, great people.

But of course, nothing will ever compare to

The ovation for Miller in Pittsburgh was pretty awesome.

And when Brodeur started cutting the net, I was like "WTF?" then I realized what he was doing.

I forgot about that, I believe the ovation was bigger than Sid's that night.

I agree on both.

The second clip was a great day for me....I took off from work and went into the city with my wife to see the St. Patrick's day parade...Actually I was dragged. I thought it was going to be the stupidest thing ever and to my surprise I actually enjoyed myself a lot. I think was seeing all the 20-something year olds drunk at 8:30AM in the subway station.

On the first clip; I've seen about a dozen games in Montreal and the people are always first class

What's the Devils record after firing Maclean?

Good enough that if we dropped him about 10-15 games earlier, we may have been talking about a playoff berth.

Being 14 rows back behind Marty when he broke Roy's record is something I'll never forget. Went with my buddy before he left for the boot camp, and the atmosphere was like a cup finals game.

Awesome night.

a cup is won every year

not often is there a game where a team record and an NHL record are broken by 2 life-long team members.

one could argue that, should the Devils ever host a SCF game at the Rock, that 552 could take the cake (excluding a cup clincher).

In terms of the unexpected, I don't know that anything will beat being there in person in April of '97 when Marty scored the goal vs. the Habs in the playoffs.

quite true, i wasn't at that game.

everyone went into that 3/17 game wanting Marty to break the record but when Elias unexpectedly did, it was nuts!

St Marty's Day was great. I was watching from Ithaca and yelling so loud my housemates were wondering what the **** was going on.

The Hawks came perilously close to tying it. Kinda like that Rangers game a few days ago

If were going to keep our playoff hopes alive, today is a must win. Atlanta plays Toronto tomorrow which seems to be a favorable matchup for them, and we play Carolina Tues. Lets go Devils!
