Why did the refs put the whistles away? One penalty called early in the second and then none the rest of the way? There was a lot of hooking and interference from both teams.

The cross-check across Gomez's face by hedberg was a brutal non-call.

I'm getting a little tired of the Habs always playing the "cleanest team on the ice" at least in the eyes of the refs.

That was like watching a pre-lock out game.

frustrating!!

Fantastic reffing, just great.

Have fun not making the playoffs you boring ****s. And your franchise player is either hurt or ******** the bed these days, so **** him too. Keep winning, I hope you get a terrible pick and keep sucking for years and years.

I'd assume it's because he had a breakaway and got hooked... Which should have resulted in a penalty shot with the goalie pulled = automatic goal?

Devils score first, very early in the game. Devils protect the lead until the game ends or habs forfeit.

What's new?

Seems to make sense to me: penalty on a guy on the breakaway with an empty net -> penalty shot on an empty net -> Auto goal.

What is ridiculous with that rule is that Kovalchuk clearly got a shot on net.
He did was slowed down, but still got his shot and missed... for the goal!

Anyway screw job again from the refs who made sure we wouldn't come back. Reminded me the game against Detroit.

I hate this trapping game. I can't watch it anymore. If I was a coach I'd tell me players to hold the ****ing puck behind the net the entire ****ing game if the other team wants to lineup 5 players on the defensive blue line, what is this ****.

Nice to see the Habs come back at not give up. Couldn't get the bounces or the calls by the refs, but it's nice to see the team keep competing.

Garage league rules like that don't belong in the nhl the refs are garage league too so I don't expect anything more. I don't like to complain about refs but common.

I'm sure 1/1000 shots would somehow be a miss.

League has to do something about reffing. Really cutting on my enjoyment of the game.

Also, I find it pretty hilarious that people complain about the devils defensive play when the habs do the same thing. What do you think fans of the pens and caps thought of our team last playoffs?

I'm not going to say that the penalty's that should have been called would have resulted in a win for us. But honestly... the refs (Justin St Pierre) were just awful. Id like to see some fair game.

It's gotta be due to the fact that french refs (him and Auger) don't wanna be biased in Montreal so they avoid calls for the Canadiens.. I mean that's the only thing that even makes sense.. The Hedberg interference call on Gomez was so clear... and no call. I mean really?

The reffing was HORRIBLE but not nearly as bad as the Detroit game. That may well have been the worst officiated game in NHL history. This game was more about the non calls...we didn't spend 1/3 of the game on the PK like in Detroit
