Judging from what I saw of some of the hardly smooth young defensemen and career AHLer Danny Richmond so far, if Matt Lashoff is a little bit better, he may be an important call up latter in the season.

he could be a important call up later on in the season.. i think thats why Burke Traded for him because last year we had very few d-man to choose from for a call up . and remember LASHOFF is still just 24

So I think this is due for a bump.

He has been playing very well. What do you guy/girls think his actual potential is with the big club?

I really like how he is moving the puck from within the Marlies zone and he is having his best year.

To be honest I dont expect to ever see him on the Leafs. Too much depth in front of him. Aulie should be in the NHL right now.

I very much agree but him and blacker are the only puck movers that the leafs really have in the system.

I beg to differ his defensive game needs work no doubt about that but he produces and thats what the leafs lack , send down ledburr and bring him up hes got a nice first pass and a very smooth skater and i personally watch almost every marlies game and Lashoff,Holzerand Aulie are the only 3 other then Simon Gysbers that may or may not develope into nhlers. Another player im not to fond on is Juraj Mikus hes got all the skills but hes slow and weak for his size

he's pretty bad, even for the AHL defensively, however we could really use a player with his skillset. I don't even know if we'll re-sign him next year because we won't have any room. He likely won't even get a qualifying offer from us IMO.

If Kaberle ends up waiving and moves at the deadline, I'd like to see us call up Lashoff to see for ourselves what he can do.

If the knock on him is being bad in the defensive end he sounds like a perfect replacement for Kabs.
