He was a totally different player in the All Star game. He needs some more talent around him.

Lotkionov isn't ready and Brown is...Brown.

The Kings are 5 points out of the Division lead. Lombardi should strike now and win the division and secure Home Ice advantage.

Sorta hard to make that comparison due to the obvious complete lack of D at that game. If he wasn't a completely different player I'd be concerned.

The team's games above .500 graph has an interesting pattern. http://www.sportsclubstats.com/NHL/W...fic/Kings.html

If you compare it with last season this is right around the same time where the Kings took off last year.

True

But also realize that amongst all of the All Stars, He had 2 goals. Despite the lack of hitting at D, it was still better than he has looked in a while

Didn't the Kings have a 5 or 6 game road trip last year around the same time and go on to sweep that? The next part of the road trip is going to be tough because they play 5 games in 8 days starting next Saturday.

Yea they did. That included beating Boston and NJ in less than 24 hours.

As far as the remainder of this trip goes, if they win 1 of the next 3 and beat NYI and Columbus they sit at-worst 5-4-1.

Crosby's out for sure now. We need to come out swinging against Pittsburgh and put them down hard.

January 23rd-31st, 2010. 5 games in 9 days. Detroit, Columbus, Toronto, New Jersey and Boston. 5 games won of their 9 game winning streak.

No, because they would lose two of PHI, PIT and WSH. Along with ANA and NYR. Thus giving them 4 losses.

Quattro- games must add up to 10.

I am depressed we have 5 days in between games. Sports is pretty much the only thing keeping me going during this recovery.

Yeah, that was epic! Hopefully getting a lucky goal on a whiff and a mishandle can get the ball rolling for him again.
It's a whiffle ball...

I find it oddly humorous (and yet pathetic) that we already have more points on this road trip (5) then we had on the entire 8 game home stand (4).

And remember when we had all those games in hand? Good times, indeed.

And I kinda like the east coast swings - I can get to sleep at a decent hour.

It seems that they finally have some sense of urgency about their game.

If someone could figure out why teams slump from time to time when it appears that they shouldn't and could bottle the cure, well...

Well, he didn't mention the Anaheim or NYR games in his post. I guess "at worst" implies losing the other 2. Anyway, I was just giving him a hard time for a poorly worded post

I don't understand why everyone is resisting the nickname LOKI. Its ****ing perfect. Simple, elegant, relevant.

His nickname is Loki. End of story.

i've always called him loki in conversations with other people, but it's pretty funny to think we currently have zeus and loki playing together.
