Its true. At least we don't have to listen to Sam giving excuses why our PP sucks

I went with Avery as the player of the game. He deserves it after what he went through at the end of the game.

I'll take Avery on the 1st line the rest of the year and Gabby on the 4th.

Tonight was a great example of why Wolski wears out his welcome and I'll be glad when he has been wiped from my Rangers memory bank.

i think the most frustrating part of this is that the effort is there by most of the team and the hustle is there for the most part...but we just cant catch a break, not one, not at all...our offensive confidence is either shot or we are going up against goaltenders that are playing out of their minds.

I think we continue our play and a couple bounces our way and we have our confidence back, but those bounces better happen soon because they will miss the playoffs if they cannot find a way to win games.

Quick other thing I want to add:

we now are off until Friday, have some practices and have some time to catch our breaths and hope that the lines mesh better and we stop gripping the sticks too tightly..

We're really, really close.

Really close.

Not giving up on this team.

One team I love to watch: the Detroit Red Wings. They play a special brand of hockey. Love'em. I hope those fans know just how fortunate they are.

PP cost the Rangers the game again. You can look at these past two games and look at the PP as the #1 reason for the loss.

Tortorella has to take accountability for the failure of the PP. He has to. His coaching choices have been questionable lately.

Gaborik was a ghost today. Completely invisible. Didn't put in an effort tonight. I'd make him a healthy scratch next game to send a message. These kind of efforts can't be tolerated.

We should of gotten four out of four points the last two games. Obviously our goaltending isn't cutting it. I mean, is pitching a shutout so much to ask?

Oh wait, you mean it's not the fact we can't even manage a SOG on a 50 second 5 on 3 down a goal late in the third?

Hey Gabby, if you're hurt, sit down already. You're hurting this team way more than you're helping it.

Sick of making every goaltender we face look like Vezina contenders. I don't care if they're quality goalies or not, they can allow more than a couple goals in a game. They have before. And they will again - just not vs the New York Rangers.

The Good: Avery, McD, Biron, the Heritage jerseys
The Bad: Awful turnovers, 2 of which leading to 3rd period goals, and every turnover committed at the Red Wing blue line. Being offsides every other rush up the ice.
The Redden: Gaborik, the PP, etc etc. 47 shots....but did it really feel like it??

As frustrating as hell it was that they lost this game I am actually fine after this loss.

The Rangers played a hell of a road game, against a stanley cup contender. We came up a little short--It sucks but I really liked the offense we created.

I'll tell you what it is. It's a damn tired team. When you have a team that's becoming tired you rely on your skilled players to weave through the times.....we do not have that many skilled players ...we don't have a Malkin or Crosby....we don't have a Briere, Giroux, or Carter. We just don't and whenever we have it's been one and done. Jagr was alone. Gaborik is alone.

There's no finish and the team is tired. Couple that with the lack of game breakers outside of one guy who's really slumping and you have a recipe for disaster. Without any changes we should expect another nail biter to make the playoffs. It's going to come down to the last week again.

I've just about had it with Gaborik. It's one thing to try and not get results, at least you're putting in the effort. It's another to completely loaf around the ice without a ****ing care in the world.

Because of two blunders? Yeah, nevermind he set up a wide-open Gilroy.

Wolski is the least of this teams problems, and sadly Gaborik is higher up on that list than he is.

They need the Powerplay and Gaborik to be really really good this year. They now have 3 days off to work on the PP, and maybe get Gabby going with some new linemates, or maybe he gets some practice with EC and Prospal.

We have to beat atlanta, and get it going from here on out. No more of this ******** losing games we should have won.

No hustle from Gaborik especially on the PP, why he was on the point is beyond me.

No coaching from Torts to be found? We lose 4 in a row and they have fun 3-3 practice? Where are the bag skates? Where is the guy who benches players who don't perform?

I will be shocked if there isn't a trade before the atlanta game as our playoff chances fade away...

The powerplay costs us points again, costs us a 4th game in a row. At least W2 took shots from the point, but he replaces Zucc and Del Zotto with gaborik at the point? Such a joke

The Redden: Gaborik
Torts and his inability to coach
our Powerplay

5 game skid. Nothing else really need be said.

I could lay out what needs to be done, but I feel like we have all been doing that for quite some time now.

Its disappointing. Its frustrating. Its downright infuriating. That is really all you can say right now.

37 goals in 19 games since the new year. That includes 7 in one game against Toronto.

What? Wolski was on of the better players in my opinion. Along with Avery and McDonagh

It's a shame that Gaborik's talents are wasted on someone who gives a half-assed effort. Players like Prust, Callahan, Dubinsky would kill to have his hands. If Gaborik worked nearly as hard as those guys, he would have at least 30 goals by now.

I could cut Gabby some slack if he was snakebit like some of the lesser skilled players on this team. But making a half-hearted attempt to keep the puck in on a crucial PP that could tie the game? Cherrypicking and floating around while most of his teammates are forechecking and backchecking hard? There's nothing that bothers me more than carelessness and lack of effort.

The Good: Biron, McDonagh, Avery
The Bad: MDZ, Gilroy
The Redden: Gaborik, powerplay

Biron was POTG for me with McDonagh and Avery close 2nd.
