I don't want to see our defence without him.

I always wanted to resign him, unless we're getting a top notch prospect or a >15 1st.

Yeah, knew this was coming.

Even so, I'd like to see him return as a Leaf, especially if he's not being traded.

Not just that goal, but years of service as a Leaf...and with the current bottom-feeding team, an indispensible offensive weapon.

Lol, I knew I was setting myself up for this, but still, do you honestly want to see this blueline without Kabby on it? Who else will provide any offence?

Exactly right. Why trade him for a 2nd rounder or mid level prospects or even a 2nd line type player. There is no way that the player that comes back would do what he does on the powerplay (although I'd like him to shoot a LITTLE more) but he keeps it all together.

He's the biggest name in D going into this deadline.

WHY are these TSN analysts always saying Grabovski isn't a good playmaker. I agree he's no Crosby, St.Louis or others but HE still passes the puck to Kulie and CMac.

Burke will need to swallow his pride and Burke won't do that. Burke has never admitted to ever making a mistake and probably will never.

There's nothing to swallow at this time. I don't think he's flat out said to Kabby's agent that he's not signing him. I'm sure if Burke realizes that the return he's getting isn't worth giving Kabs even as a rental, he may resign him for 3 years 15M?

down, i think the worst move would be to trade him. how much we appreciate his work by signing him back to the city he loves

and realistically hes our only puck moving dman

When the leafs get the puck in there own end and are being forchecked against, it feels like FRANTIC! FRANTIC! where's KABERLE! Then he gets the puck and everything mellows out

After seeing his game tonight he is a valuable piece to our defense. I hope that contract negotiations with him being soon or I should I say begin with his agent.

I want to resign him just for Schenn's sake.

You can tell how much he tries to learn from kabby, in terms of poise under pressure and puck handling.

Please resign him burke!

It all comes down to dollars and term. If the cost of resigning him goes over 5 million per year let him walk.

Pretty sure he admitted his mistake with goaltending in Vancouver. So it's at least once.
