I thought the same thing, but part of me felt it was going to be a Legwand hate thread.

I would be more than happy with Connolly, and he isnt on top of everyones watch list so that makes him that much easier to get for Poile. Maybe Grabovski from Toronto, but I would think the Leafs would want Shea Webers first born son.

I pay attention. Goc is nearly as good an makes 5x less.

No team will take on Legwand's contract. He's not going anywhere.

WE need a center who's scoringline capable. Both Goc and Legwand are borderliners.

Dulz, I agree that Goc and Legwand and borderliners....

But Goc is a good third line center who's borderline second-line center, while Legwand is a good second line center who's a borderline top line center. That, and the fact that Legwand's better defensively explains the contract difference. Now Legwand is overpaid, but not by a lot.

I agree that Nashville could use a true first line center that consistent puts up between 70 and 80 points.

Unfortunately there are none of those out there beyond Brad Richards (and he won't be available).

SK and Grabovski are pretty much sworn enemies. I say we keep SK happy and look elsewhere....

I doubt Grabo gets moved. He's basically Toronto's best player ATM.

I wish Pittsburgh would take Dumont. I know he's not a center, and is old and expensive...but gah I wish we could dump his salary, we need it to help resign Kostitsyn and Weber. Maybe Shero owes Poile a favor?

Next year.

I think it's a very low probability that someone would take JP (even if he waived his NTC). Especially not a team close to the cap.

Didn't we establish that Weber would stay anyways in the "Weber's situation" thread?

Yeah but it'd still be nice to dump worthless salary to free up cash for his contract.

Plus I hate Dumont. Ha!
