Thanks looks like a lousy start for every one but Jokinin and maybe Holtet. What is Polak's problem? Icetime health? Lundqvist also a major disappointment. Any word on Naurov
Then, Eriksson is playing 4th line, so no big numbers should be expected. Holtet is playing 3rd line with limited PP time. Hagos is playing 2nd line and despite only having one assist, he doesn't have a minus yet.
Holtet is still only a teenager, his time will come. However there is no such thing as checking-lines in Europe, the lower lines are just not as good as the top line.
My question involving Lundqvist is whether he was healthy ? Is he still on a top line? Yes of course he can go through a slump but clearly I was hoping for a breakout year more in line with what Kahnberg and Tolsa are having especially with spots opening next year if Young and Dimaio not coming back and no obvious North American replacements. Well maybe Jussi and a lower tier FA will have to do?
He was never on the top line. He's been on the second line with Kahnberg and Tolsa most of the last two year. Just because he doesn't have any points may not mean he's not playing well. For all we know, some of the points that Tolsa and Khanberg have gotten have come off plays where Lundqvist freed up the puck with a hit (not saying he has, but those things don't show up on the score sheet). Tolsa and Kahnberg are both producing so his points will come in time.
And he hasn't been 100% healthy, that's why he played a game less than Eriksson. I don't think it was serious, but minor things can nag players for a while.
