Toronto Maple Leafs - Boston Bruins

To Toronto:
Tor's 1st
Joe Colbourne
Salary dump

To Boston:
Tomas Kaberle
Kris Versteeg

Tor's 1st > Kaberle

Kaberle is easily worth a 1st, if not a 1st plus... but obviously Tor's 1st is worth more than normal as its just that, Toronto's pick.

Versteeg > Colbourne

Versteeg is easily worth more than an unproven prospect, mainly because of his resume, but he's also still very young and versitile.

The different trade values of each broken down trade would even each other out in the trade as a whole. Toronto could also take on a salary dump if need be. I assume everyone will jump to the conclusion that it will be Ryder

You'd be hard pressed to get a single yes from Boston fans.

"You'd be hard pressed to get a single yes from Boston fans".

Thats a fair statement. But you have to stop and think to yourself...do you think a deal like this could solidify a cup run and potentially win you the cup? If so, the deal would be well worth it.
The quest for the holy grail is what it is all about. It is the bottom line.

For the love of christ, stop it. Toronto has a **** roster, and the things on it actually worth the Toronto 1st (Read: Luke Schenn), you have no interest in seeing moved.

It's a non starter. If Boston wants to move it they'll look to a team that can provide something Toronto can't, talented youth with upside.

A UFA to be and a 2nd/3rd liner for Boston's best prospect, and a likely top 5 first. Hell no.

Kaberle might get Boston's 1st, not a top 5 pick.

#### could you not have put this in one of the other four threads involving our two teams. Did not need a new thread and should be closed.

No from Leaf fans, this trade does nothing to help the team.

Eh, lets try to be honest here. The Leafs would take this and run away laughing.

You're delusional!!

I wouldn't trade Colborne ALONE for Kaberle & Versteeg, never mind including a top-5 lottery pick!!!!!

Delusional!

Why are there threads on this all the time when every thread basically says that there is no chance the Leafs get their pick back from the Bruins?

Nobody reads around here.

ouch, why would Boston even consider that deal? they don't get much better in the present but get grossly worse in the future, while making their salary cap nearly unbearable if they want to retain Kaberle and Versteeg.
