Some type of witch doctor/voodoo healer to the Isles

1-Lawson gets hurt
2-Nabakov gets claimed and refused to report
3-DP gets hurt
4-20 year stand out prospect Kevin Poulin has to start
...4a-Warm ups tonight. Looks like Poulin tears a knee ligament
5-ECHL goalie Mikko Kosiken is now the starter.
6-I think Mike Dunham (remember him) has suited up to be the backup.

So...what do the Isles need?
Voodoo?
Witch doctor?

And what will it take for the Isles to land one?

(Yes...this is a goof. Just have fun with it)

the pens need the same thing, 6 of the top 12 forwards out right now.

crosby, malkin, kunitz, letestu, asham, and comrie. so more than 20 million dollars in forward cap space is out of the lineup.

You should inquire if Emery is available. He'll eat insects and everything. I'm sure he has some magic powers.

Also, and this is just a rumor: I hear he plays goal from time to time.

I had High hope for Poulin...It looked real bad.....thier goes another grade A prospect with a bright future....I was not mad at Nabokov for not reporing.....it was his right but if he had poulin would be playing in the bridge right now and none of this would be going on.....why why why does thid francgise continue to be punished...im convinced we sold our sould for those cups.....

True...but...imagine goalies 1-4 on your depth chart being hurt (or refusing to report)

Ottawa had Leclaire, Brodeur and Brust out hurt earlier in the year. That left us with Elliot and Lehner (goalies #2 and #4).

Obviously not quite as bad as the Islanders situation, but similar.

Vancouver will pay more then New York will for the services of said Witch Doctor. Supposed cup run and all, short 3 of our 6 defensemen.

When NYI's done with said witch doctor/voodoo priest/exorcist, send him on over to the Canucks.

Haha, Blues need some of that voodoo witch doctor help too! Injuries have been pretty common and widespread.

This hasn't been updated in a few weeks but it will give you an idea:
Quote:
Through 48 games played (last updated Jan 22nd through tonight's game)

NameGames Missed
Erik Johnson1
Alex Pietrangelo3
Brad Winchester4
Vladimir Sobotka4
Cam Janssen6
Carlo Colaiacovo*10
Barret Jackman*10
Nikita Nikitin10
Dave Scatchard*17
Andy McDonald*23
Roman Polak24
T.J. Oshie32
David Perron*38
Total182

*Currently injured.
Since then...Halak has been injured, Colaiacovo took a puck to the face and hasn't been able to see out of one eye for a week and a half, and Brewer's wife went into labor so he left the team to be by her side.
Oh and not to mention that we signed 2 guys who were stolen from us via waivers (wellwood and svatos).
I can continue too...2 of our 3 top prospects in the WJC were injured. Schwartz broke his ankle, Tarasenko had some injured ribs but played on...only to return to his KHL team and injure his shoulder so now he's out for the rest of the season.
Even ex Blues aren't safe...Jamie Rivers almost died recently during emergency surgery. Two surgeons actually gave up on him after his heart stopped for almost 2 minutes but a 3rd doctor was able to bring him back to life. Scary

Crazy stuff but basically...we here in STL feel your pain.

The Isles have that in addition to the goalie with Streit, Eaton and Mottau out. And Jurcina just got back.

This season has been unreal for the Isles. At one point, 5 of the top 7 dmen were out. Every dman in the Isles top 7 except Hamonic has missed 10+ games.

Upfront, Okposo missed more than half the season, Weight and Hunter have played less than 20.

Now 3 goalies are out at the same time.

Just unreal, especially for a team with 0 depth to begin with.

look at his numbers since he came back from his concussion.
one game with a save percentage of .900 or better.
one game with a goals against average of 3 or less.

snow used to stand in front of a goal, but to say he was a goalie is just a bold faced lie.
