Leagues that want to give out tickets to kids in school so that they can try and cultivate a fan base.

If I'm a Leafs fan (and God knows I'm not), I actually want him to be sent to Islanders.

I think this one could get a very good return.

It makes way more sense to deal Giguere than Gustavsson.

Both have been brutal, but Giguere has at least won a cup (and a Conn Smythe).

From the Leafs' perspective, why give up a young goalie with lots of potential instead of an older goalie set to become a UFA?

This move doesn't make sense. Why trade a guy with almost no value right now?

And, according to hf, goalies have pretty much no value at all.

Leafs have Scrivens and Rynnas in the system who are both playing well.

Base on what you got for Halak, how a Stanley cup winning goalie was dropped for a modest salary increase, and how Nabokov couldnt get a decent deal after a 40 win season, there is plenty of evidence to support that.

It better be to Detroit because Khabibulin wants to be an Islander, and you have to give him what he wants.

They don't want Gustavsson to get injured?.... Not sure. Just hopin Gus doesn't get traded.

looks like burkie just loves gettign all his trades done on one day.. gus shouldn't be traded, he doesn't cost a whole lot where they have to get rid of him and his value is almost nothing.

he was pulled after the first, marlies were up 5-0 and gus had a 4-save shutout.

could just be that the game was so out of hand that they wanted to get rynnas in, but i'd lean towards trade.

giguere trade doesnt make sense. Why pull your ahl goalie if you're trading an NHL one? Let him finish the game and then call him up.

Looks like he was pulled after the 1st? After a 5-0 lead.

It got a bit confusing with 3 teams allegedly involved.

have you ever thought that maybe Reimer is the one being showcased?

...i think Scrivens will be the best of our goalie prospects personally

There would be no reason to pull Gustavsson off the ice unless he's the one in the deal. If it's Giggy, you don't need to pull him because an injury can happen at any point. You don't need to call him up at noon, especially since the Leafs aren't playing tonight.

Yes, i too think Scrivens could be the best of them.

But if Gus was pulled mid game, it's him that is being traded.
