Habs never gave up and weren't intimidated. Loved it. They showed heart despite some of you idiots calling them pansies.

The thing is we need to play our game, skate, apply pressure and obviously, play right defense. That's how we win.

Yea I would think there is a closed door meeting of some sort after this game....

And against the NYI, they better win that one emphatically.

This team needs to axe pyatt/desharnais/weber and get serious upgrades ...

We only lost by 2, but in the playoffs, we're no match for any team who have a couple of scorers and have size..

Upon review, it looked like Campbell gave Pyatt a few whacks with his elbow pad. Don't think it was intentional, but that's probably why Tommy was all cut up after.

Poor guy. Hammer and Spacek can take care of themselves, but I felt bad for Pyatt lol

I realize Habs are small and Bruins are bigger. But to be big and dirty? Can't appreciate being proud of something like that. Bruins fanbase seems to love it, same in Philly...

Look forward to March 8, for hockey not thuggery. But call up White anyway...

Lol @ everybody being overly emotional after Habs getting a beat down.
Should we trade for 5 goons and dress them along with White and Henry next time we play vs Boston?

Tonight was a perfect example of old timer's hockey, it was retarded. I have absolutely no pleasure in seeing Spacek and Hammer get beat up by guys like Boy-Thorn. I have no pleasure in seeing Krejci get KOd by Pouliot. Campbell vs Pyatt, McQuaid jumping on MaxPAc. Horton and Lucic trying to jump on PK.
It was ridiculous. I don't want to play into this.
Sure, if we could have a bunch of players that can play well and are big and tough, great. That doesn't happen overnight. Did the Bruins build this overnight?..

So lose our young players and get?

Seriously, it's one game. We need toughness, but we lost a regular season game. We'll win tomorrow night.

Good idea einstein, maybe when one of our players get a broken orbital bone from getting beat by some random bruin coward you can tell him to "play our game!"

Agreed. Just because the Big & Bad decided to goon it up at various points of the game does not indicate we lack size or toughness. We lost because we went down early tonight and never recovered, also didn't help we were chickens with our heads cut off in our own end and Price was a sieve.

Still proud of the boys like you say, not pansies in the least. That's what you call Shawn Thornton and co. for deciding to fight Spacek and Pyatt.

I listened to a bit of the game on the radio. The announcer mentioned someone threw a banana peel on the ice after the disallowed goal.

Who brings a banana to a hockey game? Waffles I understand.

That was my take away from the game at least.

We still need a big minute D man that can help out Gill and Subban. Not trusting Spacek a whole lot right now.

I just hope JM doesn't bench Weber or PK to "send a message".

You think we got manhandled?

The ugliest thing tonight was our 2nd line and defense.

Next time we load up the team with goons, just ****ing tear them up, spears, beat them up , elbows, I don't give a **** anymore. Time to return the favor. Savard them up and listen to them *****. This is pathetic. Scarey thing is the Habs did much better than Dallas did against them a few days ago.

Atleast when we play Boston, at the very least.
Oh please. This happened all the time with Laraque on the bench. It'll happen no matter how many goons we sign. It's hockey.

The worst part about tonight is that I knew I'd come on HF and see people clamoring for more team toughness and grit and fighters and goons, completely ignoring the fact that we beat this same Boston team 3 times already this year...and no matter how stupid the score got, we still lost this one by 2, and didn't look intimidated at any point in the game.

I wouldn't mind some team toughness (namely guys who can play hockey too, not just goons who play 3 mins a game) but it's pointless to go completely over the top and suggest we need to rehaul the entire roster. We've beat this Bruins team before many times, and we'll beat them again. Stop getting so hung up on who wins the fights and worry about who wins the games.

Hopefully Hamrlik or Spacek didn't get hurt. We're already missing enough D as is.

Hmm embarrassingly bad defensive coverage by both teams, not a game either team should be happy about.

Gomez and AK were specially horrible amongst the forward. IMO Subban was quite obviously taken out of his game by the forechecking.

I would never want to see this team constructed like the Bruins. They have talent, but they are just ugly to watch for so many reasons.
