This is the EXACT, SAME, SAME pattern than when the Laffs were the Bruins and the Hens were the Habs. Quinn used the same tactics during games after the All-Star break, just to shake up the Hens a bit. And get into their heads with the physicality aspect of the game. It worked against Martin at the time, and it will work again.
Totally agree, do you ever see Martin argue with a ref?

only thing pisses me off is that we not playing the bruins anytime soon so their players suspensions will be done by the time we play them again

One enforcer to patrol the ice when it gets dirty.. that's what we need. Not a full line up of goons. Give me a break guys.

This wasn't even a game, losing sucks, but next time in Montreal it won't be the same, the Bruins won't have their drunk fans to help them. It will be a closer game with way less fighting.

People are overreacting to the loss. If the Habs were really as "intimidated" as the Bruins fans would like you to believe, then they wouldn't have scored 6 goals. The Habs played a crappy game, but hung in there until late in the 3rd. I'm not blaming him at all, but if Price had a better game, the Habs probably win. People need to relax, its one game in February.

As far as team "toughness" goes, Montreal could use more, but it isn't their most pressing issue. Fighting doesn't win playoff series' (see Detroit). Boston will find this out the hard way in April.

Habs should really look at getting players like David Clarkson. A guy that can play and who is tough.

A few things to learn from this game. AK is done. Eller is not ready. We should give Eller's spot to a tougher guy probably. We also need a shutdown D-Man. I'm open to Phillips. I expect he is here by next week. I like Weber and we should keep him. Perfect 2nd pp guy for next year and not bad defensively.

Well, don't say we need toughness. There's a limited amount of space. Those guys will not be regular nhl players, they are undersized, weak, and we need to upgrade. Just because they are young means they should be with the habs? I know our prospect pool is thin, but I am just saying what we technically need to do to get better.

8-6 in a game where we had no second line.

I'm not too worried. First lost against Boston this year in 4 games. Cammalleri comes back and Gomez and Andrei wake up and this game is completely different.

The worst part about tonight is that I knew I'd come on HF and see people clamoring for more team toughness and grit and fighters and goons, completely ignoring the fact that we beat this same Boston team 3 times already this year...and no matter how stupid the score got, we still lost this one by 2, and didn't look intimidated at any point in the game.

I wouldn't mind some team toughness (namely guys who can play hockey too, not just goons who play 3 mins a game) but it's pointless to go completely over the top and suggest we need to rehaul the entire roster. We've beat this Bruins team before many times, and we'll beat them again. Stop getting so hung up on who wins the fights and worry about who wins the games.
Voice of fraking reason brah.

I tried saying the same thing earlier but didn't expect people to listen.

I guess they need some time to calm down.

My thoughts exactly. I said the same in the GDT.

We had Laraque 2 years ago running after Lucic all over the ice and we still lost. In fact didn't Lucic score the game winning goal?

Boston is just waiting for the chance to jump on subban, just wait he will get in a brawl with someone and that mongoloid chara will jump in the way bruins love to dogpile on one guy.

I wonder how many people will be looking for for protection then?
