Habs are not intimidated by the Bruins. Anyone who thinks that, clearly didn't see the match. The Bruins might have been stronger than us physically, but we were not intimidated by them.
Sorry Subban was totally intimidated tonight.

If being a fan of MTL has taught me anything is, you could suck in one city.. and be a huge star in another.

I mean, he was technically one of the best fighters, but he would go up behind a player, tap him on the shoulder and hand em a gold embossed invitation to fight.
Not many enforcers can play hockey, that's why a lot of them are either going out of the league or are consistently benched. They are useless.

One enforcer will make 0 difference. Toughness is a team concept and is not manifested in one player.

Yeah, but Tom's a mess!
He did pretty well considering he has no career fights and Boychuk was using his arm guard.

I'd love to see them get Ott or Downie. Ott would cost a lot though. The thing I like about Ott is he scores goals when it's needed.

Max Pacioretty is a baller.
Agreed. Except PK wasn't horrible tonight, least not after he scored.

I <3 AK but he's gotta go, especially since we have Pacieoretty who is way better.

Name 1! His 1st year with the Habs players like Neil and Lucic played softer then Pyatt against the Habs. In fact i remember that the last game against Boston where Laraque was injured they benefited from his absence to jump on Latendresse, Lappierre and Gorges.

Do you need to pinch a 6'6 guy in the middle of the street to know that he can kick your butt? A goon is important for the mental side of the game, Subban was ineffective in his own zone cause he was scared tonight. He finally took it upon himself when the win was out of reach and the pushing was super obvious. That's what we have to prevent!

Why not get all of Ruutu, Neil and Carkner from the Sens? Would that make everyone happy?

Serioulsy, as much as I'd like to see the Bruins bleed, more fights won't solve the problem, we're a fast team and one goon won't do anything, what we need is 1 or 2 players that can play and with these guys there would have been way less fights tonight.

The Good:
We score 6 goals, how often does that happen?
We won 3 fights (if you count Price beating Thomas)
We didn't back down, despite being outmuscled
Bruins fans are clearly mad

The Bad:
We give up 8 goals
Our old Czech defensemen get beaten up, meaning we'll likely see Picard tomorrow
Bruins fans irritate me

The Ugly:
Pyatt and Krejci's faces after their fights

Really, the "manhandling" wasn't as bad as it looked. Most of Boston's supposed "physical dominance" came in that one altercation with our noted pugilists: Hamrlik, Spacek, and Pyatt. The rest of the time, it was evenly matched. We still had a guy like Wizniewski out there who could've fought someone.

As people have mentioned, we have won 3 of 4 games against these guys. There's a reason there's so much talk about this game: because games like these rarely happen. I don't think we'll be seeing a similar game to this in March.

Still, I'd like to see the team acquire some toughness either by trade or by calling up a guy like White. We don't need 5 Boogaard's out there, but a guy who can play well and fight would be great.

Sent down Eller, call up white. Would be nice to call up Bonneau against the ruins and try to get neil.

True, however I still think a guy like Malone could be more useful.

Lucic puched Price and nothing happened to him. Horton hits Subban from behind and nothing happens.

You can't be successful when players take liberties at your top players and nothing happens.

To be honest, the refs should have put their foots down early. It's Mtl-Bos. **** is gonna happen unless you do something first. Common sense.

No because then we wouldn't have good hockey players(aside from Neil).
