White has actually won a few, and had a few ending in a draw. Kostopoulos always lost.

Honestly, this call up is too little, too late. You're going into a game against the Bruins, you see the line-up you have and you have 1 or 2 guys that can go? No offence to Pouliot, his one hitter quitter was a thing of beauty, but it was Krejci he did it to. Once Moen was done pummeling, Thornton, Cambell and Boychuk were out there going, "hey, wait a second... let's do this!" Spacek, Hamrlik and Pyatt were out there, basically acting as the sheep being led into the slaughter-house.

Shortly after, you have McQuaid out there, trying to go with Patches. If you had White on the bench, you'd send him out there and deal with McQuaid.

I was never big on needing big, physical guys because I firmly believed in skill alone leading the team to victory. After last night, it's obvious that the Habs need some muscle. White is one way of going about it, but the Habs need a lot more where that came from. This year's trade deadline should be very interesting.

He doesn't have the skill level of Kostopoulis and I'm not sure nhe could take him in a fight. I've watched Ryan since he came to the Dogs. You want him on your team. You will go to war with him on your side but you don't want your life depending on him winning a fight.

The first two Bruin goals shouldn't have happened and the Habs allowed six more. Price shouldn't take the blame. Not only that, the ES offense was just so-so. Four of the six Hab goals were on the PP. How often does Tim Thomas win despite giving up six goals?

From someone who has watched the Dogs for a few years, all home games and many road games, Henry is your only solution if you want to add legitimate toughness; and based on what I saw last night (Gomez, AK, Eller, and a few more) he is not going to hurt you on the ice. However, as long as PG/JM have anything to do with the Habs he will never wear a Montreal jersey. Don't know what the issue is but they do not seem to want him around. Proof, Whitey gets called up and whether it's for injury replacement or toughness, there are better choices in Hamilton than him.

ok i got a warning for being to rude on White's toughness

I'll reformulate.

I think that Gauthier should bring bigger players instead of small 4th liners like White,Pyatt. I dont know why hes doesnt want some toughness and size.

Hope you realize that Conboy is not a great fighter, he can handle some middleweights, but would get destroyed by most Bruins (Thornton, Chara, Lucic, McQuaid, ...)

White is tough and he's not exactly small. Pyatt is likely in the pressbox tonight. And to answer your last point, what makes you think he doesn't 'want' more toughness and size? Going out and getting it is a different matter.

My idea right now is:

-Substitute Pyatt with White.
-Acquire a player who is said to be available with lots of grit like David Clarkson, Chris Neil.
-Ship off Andrei Kostitsyn.
-Acquire a big body gritty top 6 forward to replace Andrei Kostitsyn, any prospect in our system is available except for Subban and Pacioretty (and MAYBE Leblanc). Throw in our first round pick if it's what we need to do.
-Send Lars Eller down to Hamilton so he can develop properly for **** sakes.

Damn right my boy Ryan White!!

They need to stop messing with his head tho he should have been fulltime with the Habs for about 2 years now.

Lol at comparing White to Pyatt

If it had been White in that fight rather than Pyatt i'm pretty sure the ending would be different

Yes, White's skin is immune to getting damaged by hard elbow pad.

Give me a break!

White has fought enough times to know how to protect himself better. Pyatt just isn't a fighter so didn't know how to defend himself as well. Campbell probably would to be chicken **** to fight White.
