King's lose to Pittsburgh's AHL Team 2-1 in OT - Postgame Thoughts

We need offense. That is all.

We had so many chances, and we did **** with them. Kopitar was bad 95% of the game.

Defense was fine. Loktionov and Stoll were the only two good offensive players.

Bad giveaway by Johnson at the end, but we should have won the game LONG before then. Just bad, bad, bad offensive finishing all night long. Zeus had a clear shot in front of goal with NO ONE COVERING HIM, and he just stood there for 5 minutes.

Westgarth in the lineup. Another Kings loss.

At least they got their third loser point.

Murray still sucks.

Flyers and Capitals are going to destroy this team on the weekend. Kings better find their "A" game quickly.

And thus ends Orenji's GDTs?

Kings got a point in a game they played bad in.

Can't say that they've been able to do that a lot this season.

The bright side is we only need to be disappointed about the 1 point we didn't get, rather than the 2 points we gave to the other team.

Only saw the third but thought the Poni-Handzus-Simmonds line looked really good. Doughty played awesome and Kopi had some moments but overall wasnt consistant. Brown, idk not great a few hits but not much, that line (Loki-Kopi-Brown) need to support the puck better, all of them trying to do it all on their own, never seem to have any puck support.

Points are points. Glad they got one given how anemic the offense has been.

Don't care who turned over the puck. If you can't beat AHL teams, than you're ****ed. The Kings are gonna get burned against the Caps and Flyers.

Not talented enough. This team really should be at a stage where they should play far better against this kind of opposition. I'll take the point but the team needs to play harder.

Man i hope we don't play many more games against injury-riddled teams or we will absolutely miss the playoffs.

****** loss but honestly, that was unfortunate with Jack, his stick jammed right into the board when he went to throw it the puck back(forward) . . not sure what he could of done considering he was surrounded by Staal and another Pen . .

STUPID STUPID pass by Stoll . . what the hell was that . . no look behind the back?

Loktionov took over that OT shift, good on him, he's so much better at Center . .

2-0-2 road trip so far

People should be happy the Kings played an AHL team tonight, against a full strength team they would have got 0 points

On the bright side, this is a game in which they probably would've given up the GWG in the last 5 minutes of the 3rd earlier this season.

I'll take the point.

And if we held on for 18 seconds, we had a goalie who is 5-0 in shootouts against a team with all their best offensive players out. Just miserable.

Doughty was pretty much the only guy who saw we had the advantage skill wise and drove the net like five times and almost scored twice.

Kopitar played another invisible game until the end where he had a few good shifts.

It seems this comes out after every loss. If we lost to these guys, and this next team is better...well then by simple math WE WILL GET KILLED BY THE NEXT TEAM. Sorry but hockey does not work like that.

This is a game where we really missed Brad Richardson's speed. It's a mistake scratching Richardson. As much as I like Clifford and Lewis if we're gonna put Westgarth in one of them has to come out.

Kopitar needs to step the **** up pronto. I don't give a **** about who he has for wingers, he was invisible for 90% of the game.

Yeah, sure, Puck U can make the Capitals game and see if we can pick up a win.

But it's on a Saturday morning, so we'll get creamed 12-0. Going from a team who has no offense to a team with Semin, Ovechkin, Green, and Backstrom is going to be fun.

I disagree. Ponikarovsky and Handzus looked horrible tonight. Poni is the softest player ever.
