There is no sense of urgency in any of them. I love the rookies and they are doing what they should be doing (learning) but if this conference was competitive at all this team wouldn't qualify, not with this gutless play.
Really? I'm at school, in the library since 7 watching the Habs rather than studying for my Stats midterm. I win at losing my time.
Winner! I'm at home, at least.
Also, did anyone watching the RDS feed notice the pattern on the ice left by the zambonis? It looked exactly like those inflatable arm advertising things from Family Guy.
This team cannotr be considered a serious contender at this point. Not enough firepower up front (not to mention a lack of overall physicality), and the defense is being exposed to injury. The losses of Markov and Gorges have forced Spacek, Hammer, Gill, et. al to play too many minutes.
Early playoff exit unless 2 big moves are made:
Top 4 defensive-defenseman who can set a physical tone
Top 6 forward with size willing to play in the tough areas with a scoring touch
The farm is stocked. Time to move some youth to address deficiencies. Otherwise we finish 6th-9th, and bow out in Round 1.
Well you dont say. Did you ever think this team was considered a 'serious contender' at any point this season? I dont see how you could.
Is it just me, or does Gangsta never deliver in the shootout? He's a beast during the game, but it seems to me he loses all creativity once it's one on one with the goalie.
i had bad feeling after the game yesterday that we will go on big slump tonight we didnt look that bad but we also played the worst team in our conference PG has to make a move this team needs a spark or they will be fighting for playoff spot untill last game of season
Same here. Smells like the slump after the Detroit game.
Seriously, I wouldn't be upset with no moves. This is obviously not the full potential of our team. I don't think we'll win the cup while missing key components like Markov and Gorges and having our 2nd line center play like an AHLer.
How many wins with a lead after 2 periods again? Yeah, throw that stat out the window because it means s***. You play poorly you lose, even against the Islanders.
Habs are one of the worst teams in the league when leading after two periods. After tonight our winning% leading after 2 period is lower than even the Sens. 8th worst in the league.
I think we have the players to get it done, they are just not being given the chance. On top of that, the wrong players are getting all kinds of ice. No more Gomez and AK. They suck. Pouliot deserves some ice time. It's getting ridiculous.
Man, they were so sloppy tonight. The passing was brutal. Hammer/Wisniewski had a ton of giveaways. To me, that's 4 straight games where they pretty much sucked.
