Gaborik played a very good game. Was involved for every loose puck along the boards, picked up a couple of assists, and was around the puck all night.

Callahan, on the other hand, gave us the Chris Drury special tonight: excellent on the PK, but otherwise invisible. As someone who's supposed to be the heartbeat of the Rangers, he's going to have to pick up his play immediately.

While you're at it, get rid of Sather so that the top 5 picks we'd get wouldn't be wasted on more Jessimans. As long as the Rangers are stuck in the middle like this, this is what they'll be, pretty much forever.

Agreed, I'd almost rather have a 7th defensemen dressed than have EC on the ice...

atleast we could lessen the load on Staal and Girardi during the game so Torts doesn't have to play MDZ and Gilroy in the final 5 minutes, lol

this team either makes a few impact moves, or resigns themselves to yet another grind to barely make/miss the playoffs. pretty dismal.

The only game that I would relate to luck was the Florida game where the winning goal bounced off Anisimov's back and went in.

If you drop 6 straight, bounces and luck are not the only factor in play.

I'm too lazy and bitter to read old post's but why is Prust fighting heavy weight's?
Why is MDZ on a pair with Gilroy?
Why has Eminger been a healthy scratch?
Why do we lead the NHL in throwing the puck behind the net instead of at the goal?

The only (+) I can take away from this game is that I didn't drive 4 hrs to Atl to watch that in person.
OY!

Yea, once things become a trend luck isn't the issue.

I have to agree, Cally needs to have an impact on games, even if he isn't scoring. He was hardly noticably

When we were beating the Isles and Devs getting 10 out of 12 points everyone was excited. I warned in December, the schedule gets way harder and during the stretch run.

Kinda upsetting none of the major players are stealing games. And Torts seems to bring little to the table, IMO.

Any Dman could have been there, it was a bad bounce and as my grandma says 'Rosy is gone, the faaaaaaans need a whippin boy !'

For the record, my whipping boy is still Glen Slats Smokey Sather.

Avery say refs don't discuss non-calls with him, they just tell him to *^$)+_ off. That's what happened after 2nd on possible Ladd slash.

The impact moves we need to make involve cleaning house.

Unfortunately, this is not surprising. The refs have their biases and many of them don't like Avery. But every player is entitled to a know why a penalty was or wasn't called. Obviously there is no rational explanation if the refs' response is "eff off."

Yes there is, Avery earned this treatment by crying wolf and trying to make refs look bad most of his career.

maybe, i don't know, but the whole team just looks jacked right now.

This was a game, along with the last few that you just grind the wins out. Our defense is showing it's inexperience now. Moving Rosival for Wolski (who does absolutely nothing) is one thing, but to replace him with MDZ who shows every night that hey shouldn't be in the NHL is not the answer.

Either get an anchor on the blue line and another REAL scorer or become sellers. this team as is, is a fraud. It's good that our star model goalie is stepping up as well. when's the last time he stole a game for us? he got his payday.

And someone check the rangers record when they are tied going into the third. They can't win if they are. They have a better chance at winning if they are down, and I can't even remember the last time they had a LEAD going into the third.

We should be sellers. As I've said before this team isn't good enough to win, and too good to improve. We've got guys like Lundqvist and Gaborik that could fetch a nice return in a trade. I say we do it and start from scratch.
