Kristo out of hospital, will remain at parents' home

Quote:
University of North Dakota hockey player Danny Kristo was discharged from Regions Hospital on Thursday.
[...]
Kristo is expected to remain at his parents' home in Eden Prairie, Minn., for continued treatment before returning to Grand Forks. The timing of Kristo's return to campus will be made at a later date as it is dependent upon how he responds to ongoing treatment.

Not sure how you took it as a good thing. They're still not even sure when he can go back to school. He really didn't do himself any favours.

Plus every D-men ahead of Emelin is older.
Given his physicality and his numbers, I can't wait to see him with us.
Markov, Subban, Emelin, Gorges, Tinordi, Weber.
I never thought that Emelin would end up being better than Korneev, but it's looking like a distinct possibility.

Also wats up pam19! haven't seen you around in a while.

As mentioned in other threads, Tinordi is on Sportsnet Ontario tonight at 7:00 pm ET.

Also, for those who get the Big Ten Network, they are showing the Michigan - Ohio State games tonight and tomorrow night at 7:30 pm ET. Hopefully Bennett and Pateryn both play this weekend while they are televised.

Even though he's a Sens prospect now, I'm glad to see David Rundblad lighting it up in the SEL this season. 38 points in 46 games for a 20 year old defenseman is pretty damn good. He was one of my "prospect man crushes" back in 2009, and this has nothing to do with Leblanc, but I would have been pretty happy if we ended up selecting him.

Im back from the game, Leblanc had 3-4 good shifts 2-3 scoring chances and played a decent game but Im still looking to see a Louis Leblanc more involved, more intense.. He is a very cerebral player but I didnt like his body language tonight, didnt want the puck enough, wasnt hungry enough, rarely you will see him carrying the puck through the neutral zone, he rather likes to generate offense from the boards where he really is in his zone, cycling the puck and all... I would like to say that I see a top 6 foward in him but I just cant, I think he is smart enough to make his way at the NHL level but everything is pointing to a third line role..

Bournival didnt shine much more but at least the kid plays with an edge and doesnt look effraid to turn the puck over.. I think both are NHL material in the future but no impact players here..

That Kristo incident surely means he's going to be back as a Junior in North Dakota. Not enough of a good season AND end up missing the last part of the season....

I really thought he'd be heading to Hamilton next year but I believe that will change the plans...

If he comes back and has a strong finish, I don't know. Maybe they'll want to keep him close in order to prevent any further misadventures.....

I'm going to venture that his weak and meager frame is having trouble adjusting to the tougher schedule.

I wouldn't say surely, my guess would be that they will take a good look at him at the development camp to see where he's at. But I wouldn't mind if he goes back to ND, who will be strong again plus I'll get to watch 3 prospects at a time.

I guess that's possible although I'd assume that's unlikely. Aside from this 8 game drought, only once this season has he gone more then 1 game without a point.

Did leblanc look any better than he does now after he came back from the WJC? Many people thought he was battling injury at the world juniors, might be that he aggravated it and can explain why he's not doing so well. We know leblanc can put up points in the Q, he was dominating early on, i just hope it's not some nagging injury that will come back to haunt him.

Kid does need to bulk up though. It's a mystery how he's so dominant on the boards and yet so tiny. Watch out when he fully matures.

I wouldn't say tiny, when I hear tiny I think of Desharnais or Gio. He's thin though for sure, it's going to be interesting to see how he does against bigger stronger players in the AHL. If the Juniors don't go too far in the playoffs would be fun to see him join the Dogs playoff run.

According to THN, Kristo make the top 20 in his draft year.

To be clear, that's 20 guys that are still prospects (NOT NHLers yet). Not top 20 overall from his draft year.

nice move by Gallagher to get his 37th of the year!

Also looks like Mac Bennett has locked down a spot full time from what I hear.

Dartmouth won another big game today, Walsh gets his 8th, ties his career high (already set career highs in games, assists and points)

This guy can play in traffic... Might become the steal of the 2010 draft!

By the time he will be with us (if it happens), Gallagher will be surrounded with Pouliot, Eller, MaxPac, Tinordi and who else...

I think size won't be an issue and if you look at Desharnais playing...
I am ready to take a hand full of those players.

Just need to have size around them.
Three years from now, I see only Gionta, Plekanec and Desharnais in our rooster... (maybe Weber).

For all these guys, they may not have size but I have no problem with them in our team...

Go Gallagher, go!
I don't mind small size guys like DD Gionta etc. as long as you mix a bigger player with them.

White DD Pouliot played great, it's a mix of skill, grit, and size.
