For anyone who hasn't watched a game at the Verizon Center, it is electric. As soon as the game came on, I got flashbacks of the Rangers series. Their fans are the loudest I have ever heard and the arena is a sea of red

But I digress...

I'd like to agree with you, but Doughty could have got the pass, but he backed off the blueline pretty fast.

But playing D for the Kings, backing up fast is usually the right choice.

No they're not. See the last play? Their dump is when they have no other options, not systematic. Also, notice not every dump in is the same half boards cycle to the point? No NHL team I have seen plays the Kings' offensive style. I haven't seen this ******** since the 70's and with some teams in the 80's and 90's.

God, Westgarth Is Completely Useless.

He Can't Even Dump The Puck Behind The Boards.

Hey are the Caps cheating? They keep putting the puck right in front of the goal and shooting from close in.

WTF is Westgarth doing?

The guy cannot even dump the puck from the half wall to behind the net, he totally whiffed and the Caps go down the ice and get a scoring chance.

This guy might be the worst NHL player I have seen since McKenna. I wish we had re-signed Ivanans.

The Kings are dumping it when they feel like they have no other options, even though they have plenty. They're scared to try and make a play at the blueline or carry the puck in.

I can guarantee you that for as much flak as TM gets, every NHL coach promotes carrying the puck across the blueline, entering the zone with speed, getting the puck to the middle, and getting bodies to the net. He's no exception. The Kings are executing poorly.

But that's our team's bread and butter offense

Mid 70's offensive system hockey without the clutching, grabbing and fights is like an afro on a fat chic.

Our best three players offensively, who are actually trying to score are Johnson, Doughty, and Loktionov.

And Zeus needs off that 1st line. He hasn't even touched the puck since he coughed it up twice on the first shift.

This period has been so boring. I' sure none of us have thought 'HERE COMES A CHANCE' at all this game. Every time the Capitals get the puck, I think a goal is coming.

Disagree Josh. This is systematic. What are they? Masochists? They play the system they are taught. Have you EVER READ Terry Murray state we need to dump the puck less?

Oh goody. I'm sure glad we sat Brad Richardson, who busts his ass on every shift, for that great fight from Westgarth!

HERE COMES THE MOMENTUM SHIFT!

Atleast he is gone for the next 5 minutes.

Lovely fight. The best part about it is Westgarth is now off for 5 minutes.
