I guess thats what we have to do with Kopitar and Brown. Just hide them on lines with two other good players. Imagine Loktionov centering wingers who 1) aren't retarded (Dustin Brown) and 2) not the team fighter (Clifford, not that he doesn't have SOME skill).
Wayne Simmonds breaks through tonight, and I think he's been very solid even through the stretch of losses that we recently endured. He's been very consistent for the last two months or so.
Also, didn't Handzus play some wing with one of his other teams? I think that line should be a mainstay.
Lines were p. good. Eventually we'll get tired of Handzus' lack of speed on Line #1 but hopefully he puts some finish onto that line for at least a little while.
Gotta love how Stoll went from having his worst season ever to a possible career best season in goals in a matter of 2 weeks lol. When things are going well.. They go real well.. but when things are going bad. well, we all know how bad it can get. Keep up the good work, Kings!
If its not a joke: You do realize that fight had NOTHING to do with the outcome of the game?
Is that a fact? Did you ask the players? From what I saw the Caps were all over the Kings and DJ King was throwing his body around and nailed one King really good, forgot who it was, I think Smyth...after that fight the Kings were all over the Caps.
Oh yeah, btw why do you have a fight pic as your avator? That's like having an Obama sticker on your car and voting for John McCain...I don't get it.

Its more of a tribute to Kyle Clifford than it is to fighting. Clifford can play hockey, AND fight. Westgarth cant really do either or. But lets not get into that debate.
For the record, I like what Westgarth did. He did his job and he did it pretty well but lets not kid ourselves.. That is in no way what turned this game around.
JStoll looked like a guy who wanted to make up for his mistake from last game.
?? He scored the only Kings goal in the last game. ?!?! And if you even want to call it a "mistake," 2 players after him had pretty good chances to stop the Pens OT goal.
You call out Stoll, but ignore Kopitar and Brown? Or were they also trying to make up for their mistakes from last game?
Ok, I think Lokti looked good at center and I assume he'll get better.
Hypothetical question so humor me. We can't have Schenn ad Lokti as 2 of our top3 centers next year. Too much inexperience. Assuming Loktionov establishes himsel does it make Schenn expendable for a guy like Vanek? Lokti's cap hit is 1/3 of Schenns so it will ease the 7.1 million dollar Vanek cap hit. Mind you that this is all hypothetical.
This puts Schenn in Manchester for the year in my opinion unless DL gets offered Parise, Malkin, Duchene, etc for him, which, ain't gonna happen.

The Stoll-hate here continues to amaze me.
Geez - just try to enjoy the win.
It's possible, and I'll point out that I don't know Tonellisghost's intentions, that he was complimenting Stoll....which the rest of the paragraph of the quoted portion would appear to support.
Several players made critical mistakes last game, TG was stating that Stoll was the one that stepped up today to amend that. If anything, by "ignoring Kopitar and Brown" he's condemning them for not stepping up like Stoll did....although given Kopi's goal and assist I'm sure that's not his intention.
Wanting to make up for a mistake, even when others are equally at fault, is a good quality.
The situation has improved as I figured it would. At the end of the night 2-12-11, Kings are only one goal-against behind league leaders Bruins and Canucks.
Boston and Vancouver = 131 goals against
Kings = 132 goals against
The other 27 teams have more goals against
I just finished watching the game! So awesome. I think that was one of our best of the year. Defense was huge, but Bernier had a great game and has been so solid his last handful (4-5?) starts. So great to see the Kings play amazing after a bad first period. They took over the 3rd period and played a playoff game. Such a fun game to watch.
