If it has come to making a line of Carbomb-Nodl-JVR, make a ****ing trade and bring in players Lavy will use properly.
Re: PP chance, Zherdev was given a PP chance during the 2nd period of the game against Carolina and blew ass and then we scored 2 PP goals in the 3rd.

Also, I think you are mistakenly characterizing errors by Nodl and Leino as "laziness." I mean, Leino's made some mistakes recently, but that guy works his ass off, especially on the backcheck. And Nodl blows open nets, but the guy busts his ass hard, you don't see those guys coasting.

Zherdev does not forecheck well and is still a really iffy defensive player. But it's more the forechecking that bugs me. That line with JVR was a freaking handful and now that he's gone, they don't forecheck with nearly the same efficiency because Zherdev won't engage in the dirty areas.

Yeah, and it seems like Richie puts up points no matter who he's playing with. Even this year, has has no right to be on pace for 75 points considering the revolving door of linemates he's had. I mean, he has more points than Briere and I think we can all agree that Briere has been great.

Zherdev was on PP during 2nd period against Canes for 0:25 only because Giroux wasn't on the bench at that time

Exactly, while nothing much has changed on the PP for last 2 months. Just a bunch of slap passes and Roo, Richie, and Leino not shooting and passing into the corner. My main point is if if Lavy is 98% against using Z to his strengths ( PP and skill line ) trade or waive him and get us someone so that Nodl and Carbomb aren't in the top 9 along with Shelly playing 4th line.

I guess we're trying the reverse jinx now with these score predictions?

In that case, 9-0 Flyers, with hat tricks by Nodl, Carcillo, and Powe.

Is this really the 58th post in the thread, but the first to mention John Stevens?

Personally when I bust ass it's a bad thing and I'm certain that I have never blown ass... that sounds very gay

I also think Leino looks lazy at times because he isn't as good of a skater. But he knows control of the puck, and he knows where to be.

They're not going to sell.
Leino had a few games where he made a lot of bad decisions with the puck. I don't think it warranted a benching though. One of the marks of a really good coach is his ability to read his players and find out what buttons to push. I was at a seminar with one of Swedens most prominent soccer coaches and he told a story about how he had had this young kid on the team back in the 80's that was one of the best players in the country when he was on, but was really shaky with his confidence and a harsh critic of himself. One game he had been absolutely terrible during the first half, and the coach was going to call him out in the locker room, but when he saw his face he said nothing and then on the way out back to the game he just tapped his shoulder and said "Great pass there in the beginning." (not that there had been one). The kid went out and had a hat trick in the second half.

Also, I know the Kings won't be selling (unless they go winless from hereon), but one can dream.

I usually don't predict scores but Ill give it a shot

Flyers 3 Kings 1. Flyers lead 2-0 late, Richards get the ENG with 20 seconds left, then Kopitar scores with 0.1 left to breakup that overrated shutout stat.

Actually I think during that Washington game (the one Mez won in OT) Leino made a bad turnover that led to the first Washington goal. Then in another game (I think the Ottawa game) when we were on the Peco, we were generating a couple of chances but Leino kept doing spin moves right at the blue line and both times the Senators were able to pressure him and clear the puck; so Lavy demoted Leino to the 4th line for a couple of shifts. I'm not a huge fan of Z; but if he was the one making those mistakes instead of Leino he probably would've been a healthy scratch for six games

I'm really hoping we can pull off a win here, they are a pretty talented team from top to bottom. But we really need to keep churning out some wins to distance ourselves enough for a more comfy spot in the conference/division.

I really respect their team, but i'm hoping we can really come out flying.
