In honor of his retirement, I give you Andrew Peters breaking Bryan McGrattan's face.

That was his best fight? He took like five swings in 60 seconds and missed half of them.

He smashed McGratton's orbital bone and the entire team seemed to grow 2 inches after that bought. It last through the rest of the season and playoffs -- so yes, that was his best fight.

Fair enough. Still, he's one of the most boring fighters the Sabres have had. He rarely gets in a punch and generally just tries to hold off the other guy with his long reach. I much prefer guys like Ray or McCormick.

True, once he got of the andro, it turned into grapple-fest. But that one... that one had ramifications after they'd been pushed around early by the Sens. For that, he deserves some credit.

And the "Andro Peters" era was far more interesting. Angry, "juiced" Peters was enough to unseat Boulton as the designated knuckle catcher.

Possibly the scrubbiest goal in Sabres history
I was at that game too!!

Unexpected Peters sighting: He's doing color for today's RIT @ Canisius game on TWSC. I saw the opening during the Sabres intermission (it's DVR'ing at the moment), and I knew I recognized the color guy
