I'll take TSN's numbers over Fox Sports, but thanks.

most people were under the impression boston had 5-6 players, but i believe those other players might stay in europe because i clearly remember ottawa's GM (or at least SOME GM on the day the deal was announced) saying that he talked to one GM who said he only had 3 players signed, so the only team that could be is boston

Would Boynton's option be for the $1.33 mil (1.75 before the 24% rollback?) I thought he was signed and was surprised when he was listed on the Bruins RFAs.

And there are some players that played in the minors that do have contracts, they just weren't listed by TSN. Include them if you are 100% sure of their salaries.

Habs Strategy :

14 478 000$ for 8 players (Brisebois, Rivet, Bonk, Souray, Zednik, Sundstrom, Bégin, Huet ).

Relase Brisebois (didnt take the team option), so minus 3.42M + 1M (Compensation for Brisebois) for a total payroll of 12 058 000$ for 7 players.

Resign Bouillon at 0.6M, Bulis at 1.1M, Hossa at 0.7M, Saku Koivu at 2.3M, Komisarek at 1M, Markov at 2.3M, Ribeiro at 1.8M, Ryder at 1.7M, Théodore at 2.9M and finally Ward at 0.6M. Relase Dagenais. Total payroll : 27 058 000$

Line up without UFA :
UFA - Koivu - Zednik
Ryder - Ribeiro - Perezhogin
Higgins - Bonk - Bulis
Hossa - Bégin - Sundstrom / Ward / *****
***** - Markov
Komisarek - Souray
******* - Rivet
Théodore
Huet

Try to sign Kovalev at 3M, if he didnt want, go after Demitra, Zhamnov or St.Louis.
Sign a good enforcer, maybe Oliwa, or Lindsay, for 0.45M.
Try to sign a #2 defensman like Foote, Zhitnik, Aucoin or Rafalski at 2.5M.
Try to sign a average defensman at 1.3M.
Total payroll : 34.3M, did I dream ?

Red Light Theo? Oh the guy that keeps shutting down the Bruins come play-off time! Hart & Vezina, Bruin slaying Theodore!

He did...and there's no way he resigns for 2.9 mil, same deal with Koivu at 2.3...I can see Theodore making anywhere in the range of 5.0 to 5.5 mil, Koivu anywhere from 3.3 to 4.0 mil...

Markov 1.8
Bulis 1.5
Ribeiro 1.25
Ryder 1.25
Komisarek 1.1
Ward 900k
Dagenais 600k
Bouillon 600k

That's my estimation for the Habs players that need to be resigned
