I'm a Ranger fan, and I wouldn't do that to the Oilers.

Why does any trade out of Edmonton always start with Cogliano??

Anyways, no thanks it's not worth our time.

We don't want/need Cogliano. I'd be interested in Foster/Vandermeer for Gilroy and/or a late pick.

yea not enough to the Oilers plus Smid does not solve the need for a PP point man. Foster would be the guy I go after for Gilroy and a late pick

I'm not sure a Foster to NYR deal would work, even though I'd love it.

The PR issues of trading a newly signed UFA along with NYR's already excess of RH D might cause some problems.

meh UFA's get moved in the first yr of there contract here and there and if Gilroy goes back that leaves LD Staal, McDonaugh, Del Zotto, and RD Girardi, Sauer, Foster, Eminger........that works..........Also Eminger replaced DZ today and got no minures in the 3rd so he's starting to hit 7th Dman status the rest of the way in my mind. He is also a UFA next yr so I doubt he is in there long term plans

If Tambo decided he doesn't mind moving a recent UFA signing, then you can have Foster at the deadline.

I repeat, you can HAVE him....

Is Foster really all that bad? I only recently became a Wild fan, so I haven't really seen him in Minnesota. I watched him in Tampa, but it was his freak year. So what's the deal with him?

Yes, he is that bad. The fact the Rangers would be paying him next year would be enough of a return for me

Honestly though, if you can shelter his minutes as a 5/6 guy and just use his shot on the PP, then he would be fine. However, in Edmonton he is being asked to play in the top 4. Ugly.

He is a liability in every zone ES, his footspeed is scary bad, and he takes some pretty awful penalities as a result of the first 2 weaknesses. Take him at your own risk.

I got to watch MA Bergeron for 9 games as a Ducks fan. If I have to watch an MA Bergeron without mobility and just as much defensive awarenss as a Ranger fan, I think I'll kill myself.

That's pretty much waht you are in store for. He has an absolute rocket and sometimes at random he just destroys guys, but for the most part he is a trainwreck IMO.

"fine"...lol. You'd have to be an Oiler fan to understand why that's funny.

This thread is funny. Might as well throw in Redden for Souray and Boogard for um...JFJacques maybe?

If a pylon could have a 100 km/h slapper, that would be Kurtis Foster.

Why don't the Oilers just throw in Eberle for kicks while they're at it?

Epic fail.
