I don't think is giveaways are quite as horrible as MAB.

Of course, maybe his suck just doesn't stand out quite as much on this incarnation of the Oilers.

He skates like a guy with a big steel rod in his leg, Oh wait nevermind

Smid is a good player and Cogliano is serviceable.

agreed especially for a #6-7 defenceman and a pick in a weak draft.

The price is right at the moment, so it's no loss.

Really? Smid would certainly bolster our D IMO. After today's game it seems obvious to me torts has lost all faith in Eminger. Pair that with how piss poor MDZ has been. I would take Smid as our 5th d-man right now over any of Gilroy, MDZ or Eminger.

No body cares...

Degrading someone or anyone for that matter is displaying your true colours and is wrong!

Hey I wanna trade him, not degrade him!

Which is why this trade isn't worth doing.

Smid is a good player, even if we can fetch that package for him what's the point. He has fairly high value to us and our awful D. He's one of our only stay at home defensemen and his physical game is increasing greatly.

You used a very unfortunate (and devastating) injury to crack an immature joke...I don't think you are in any place to be telling people to grow up. Leave those kind of statements off the boards please, nobody is going to go out and crack jokes about your arm, why do you feel its okay to do it about Foster's leg? Because he is a pro hockey player?

I like Gilroy, but I don't see a need for him in Edmonton. We have enough non-physical d-men.

The other kicker is Gilroy makes 2.1mil and needs to be qualified at that. Not really worth 2mil in my books.
