Rangers are stacked with exactly what you're looking for. We'll send you a whole line.

This line will agitate the opposition, drop the gloves, aggressively forecheck, and block more shots than your defense.

Sean Avery - Kris Newbury - Dale Weise
2nd rounder (conditional - lowest between NY's two)

for

2nd rounder, Andrew Cogliano

For this complete package we ask to swap 2nd rounders and for the possibly expendable Andrew Cogliano. After all, you'll need to make roster space.

I dont think we would be shopping SDR right now, but the other two guys i mentioned could be had, maybe even Ryan Reaves.

Jamie McGinn? He put up ten goals in sixty games last season, but has been failing this season and is right now in the AHL. I think that the kid needs a change of scenery.

Clarkson would look great in an Oilers jersey. I don't think Lou would trade him though, our team (well forward corps) is soft as is.

You guys could get Jon Kalinski from the Phantoms. From what I've heard, and basedd on performance a season or two ago, he could be solid 4th liner and he's probably not going to get a shot at the NHL with the Flyers. The most he would probably garner based off my random guess is a 3rd or another AHL player?

I was just about to suggest McGinn. Hard worker, hard hitter, young and aggressive. Needs to get his scoring touch back though.

Probably a 2nd-4th round pick, depending on how Chia/Tambellini value him.

No earlier than 2nd, no later than 4th.

Maybe a B level prospect that Chia targets?

Nothing too drastic from Boston, UFA to be, and likely wont be back.

Ducks can probably throw in a prospect if that isn't enough.
Oilers don't need Beleskey, Brookbank but chipchure + 1st + something else works for Hemsky.

The Oilers can afford to deal Cogs because they desperately need a guy like Neil who is able to push back on the other team and provide protection for there young forwards who are mostly undersized and getting picked on at the moment. It will go a long way in this teams development to have some protection in the lineup so they don't get physically intimidated every night.
This would help a lot, swapping 3rd liners. You could use the speed of Cogliano and we need Neil's physicality. Let's make it happen.

Wouldn't you rather have a player than a pick in Nashville, for your playoff run?

As much as I don't like Avery, I'd take him, none of the others though.

Nashville has too many forwards as is. Tootoo is practicing but will need to finish rehab first. Currently, the Preds have 17 forwards, 2 of which are on IR in Lombardi and O'Reilly.

With the recent trade for Fisher the Preds will need to move a forward and Nick Spaling, who's basically been Nashville's PK, is the only one elligable to go to Milwaukee. The only two players Nashville should move at this time are JP Dumont and Jordin Tootoo.

yeah there seems to be a lot of oiler fans getting impatient and want the instant fix rather than seeing the plan that the oilers management have in place.... the rebuild isn't just about Hall and Eberle and Pajaarvi, there's also the bottom 6 guys in the system, just need to wait a year or two for them to be ready.

What's Tootoo's contract situation?

He's got one more year at 1.125M. UFA July 2012.

If Teemu can be moulded into a Ville Nieminen type that would be the best situation.

Just need to keep tanking and let the prospects develop but at the same time theres no loss in calling a young gun up to make a debut.

Well thats because he's a player you hate to play against with how soft this team is, yeah I have lost respect for Tootoo but at least he is trying to improve himself as an individual by going to rehab. Tootoo would thrive in a hockey city like Edmonton, have him and Mac on a line, he would be our Avery/Burrows/Ruutuu but is capable of fighting compared to most agitators(i.e Cooke)
