It's ****ing ridiculous. I've been waiting 30 years for Stanley and that pick won't see the roster for at least 2 years. I'm sure the whine bags will all watch and cheer during the Stanley Cup finals though. This was a good move by Holmgren, Versteeg will fit this team like a glove. Draft day will suck much less if we're the Stanley Cup champs.

Versteeg, who was acquired by Toronto from the Cup champion Chicago Blackhawks via trade this past offseason, had 14 goals and 21 assists in 53 games so far this season.
In 223 games over parts of four seasons, Versteeg has 58 goals and 78 assists.

Zherdev is a UFA and the Flyers now have 24 players on the roster, so someone is going. I just hope it's a trade and not waivers. There's no way someone looking for a scorer hasn't called about Zherdev.
As a Leafs fan, I like your team, but I sincerely hope you lose every game from here on out so that the pick will actually mean something to us!
More or less, we got a 2nd and a 4th for Versteeg, as it stands right now...which looks good from your perspective. Versteeg is NOT a game changer, but will be valuable to you guys on your upcoming cup run. Good luck.
