I hear the Oilers want Dubinsky or Callahan. Callahan's one of the best grinders in the league... well, sorry Edmonton, but you can't have either of them.
Where's the proposal here? Nothing but a nana poopoo here.
It's like the little spoiled kid who show's off that his parents bought him a snowcone at the park on a hot summer day when no one else has one. It sucks when a bully comes along and robs him of his snowcone, his lunch money and gives him a wedgie. Then while he cries with no friends he wonders why he was targeted and no one came to help.
Rangers have plenty of grinders they can offer Edmonton in a deal without bringing up Callahan or Dubinsky.
As much as I don't like Avery, I'd take him, none of the others though.
You may want to reconsider. Newbury may actually be a decent 4th line checker only good for the next year or so while he peaks in his career.
Weise on the other hand, IMO is a tad slow for the NHL but outside that he's got everything you want for a guy to be a solid forechecking 3rd liner and a nose for around the net with good offensive forechecking instincts and he's only 22. As he begins to think the game faster and gets faster he could be a solid 3rd liner. This guy's enthusiasm and tenacity is off the charts.
