I think this game has a 3-2 OT contest written all over it. Lets hope the Sabres come out the victor.
So Ruff has now made it pretty clear that he has 0 confidence in Patrick Lalime, he is essentially a cheerleader that doesnt look good in hot pants. With that being said, what do you think is more likely: Enroth plays well and secures the back-up role, we pick up a respected back up goalie, or nothing?
Enroth will have to be huge since Price has great numbers against us (.936 SV%, 2.02 GAA). Enroth's strength--lateral movement--will be put to the test against the Habs who love to go cross-ice with their passes, especially on the PP. I think he'll perform fairly well, but the Sabres are giving up too many shots and aren't playing tight enough defensively. I think the Habs win, 4-2.
Enroth is the first goalie since the lockout (and essentially in NHL history) to pick up his first two career wins via shootout.
Stafford and Leopold score in regulation, the Habs tie the game midway through the third. Vanek is quiet during regulation but comes back in the shootout to blast one past Price. Enroth stops all 3 Montreal shooters.
No idea actually. Spacek has been pretty banged up lately, there have been several occasions in the last 2-3 games (including last game against TO) where he's been slow to get up after a hit or crash into the boards. Not sure what exactly is wrong with him though.
EDIT: Just heard lower body injury. No specifics other than that.
