[optimism] If the Kings win the last 4 games of the road trip, they will lead the Pacific [/optimism]

I give us a good shot.

... Despite Quick's great game against Philly, I'd love to see Bernier get a start either today or tomorrow. Both goalies are on their respective games. Keep them both fresh, and this positive streak might be sustainable.

I don't see how Murray doesn't start Bernier in atleast one of the games...if he doesn't that might be more egregious then his playing of Westgarth.

A reason I don't feel super confident is that the Blue Jackets NEED this win to keep up with the other teams in the playoff hunt. If they lose, they drop 5/6 points back of the 8th spot; a win and they're right in the pack. They're gonna play a desperate game and come out firing at us with all they got in their home arena.

Kings usually don't do well against desperate teams. That's why we lost to the Blues all those times and the Penguins. Flyers and Capitals didn't have the same sense of urgency and allowed the Kings to play more of their game.

I expect the Blue Jackets to be buzzing at the start and the Kings will have to try and get the lead to gain control. Hopefully Quick is on tonight like he was against the Flyers. He seems to show up and shutdown the top teams in the league, but just like the Kings, falters a little and let's some easy ones in against the not so top teams.

And I'm just gonna predict now that sometime in the 1st period, Westgarth will have another staged goon fight against a Blue Jacket and promptly only see 3 minute of ice time all night.

I think this should be a good game tonight. Both teams last played on Sunday afternoon. Both teams NEED the points tonight. Both teams have been streaky this season with the Kings having more, shorter streaks.

Concerning the top two quotes, CBJ fans are saying the exact same things (except substitute CBJ for Kings in the first one).

Moreau may or may not be playing tonight. Garon may be starting. Arniel really doesn't let those details out very early or even at all for some games.

mason is sick again and garon was first off the ice so he may be getting the nod.

love watching kings+jackets games and this one should be no different as both teams are battling with the other 81 teams trying to make the playoffs in the west. good luck.. kind of.

Isn't Garon better than Mason?

And this is the Jackets' game of the season. They're going to play their hearts out.

Why is Quick starting? He's always struggled against the Jackets. Bernier should start today and Quick tomorrow.

Murray is going with the goalie that just shutout the 2nd placed team in the league on the road.

If he didn't go with Quick, and Bernier lost, we would never hear the end of how we didn't keep with the goalie that just helped us beat one of the best teams in the league.

Hopefully we can shut down Nash. Our defense is much better than the last time we faced the Jackets, and we should have won that game 5-1 if it wasn't for the mental mistakes we've had. I want them to play the same style they played against the Capitals and Flyers.

For about the past 2 weeks, every game they've played has been "the Jackets' game of the season". As fans, were just glad that it appears as though the player recognize that as well.

Mason's last 5 starts: 4-1-0 ave. GA = 1.6, sv% = 0.948

Garon's last 5 starts stretches back to Jan 8th. He did look good versus Colorado on 2/11 - 1GA & 0.969 sv%

The whole team sucked in December. The team you see tonight should be playing much more like they did on 11/17/10 than the one you saw on 1/8/11.

Quick Last Two Games: 1-0-1, 0.97 GAA, .970 SV%
Bernier Last Two Games: 1-0-1, 0.48 GAA, .979 SV%

I don't really care who starts, as long as long as the same goaltender doesn't start back-to-back nights, like TM did last year with Quick. It probably makes more sense to start your #1 (Quick), against the hot inter-conference opponent though.

The Kings haven't given up a goal in 118:54 minutes.

i vote we skip the whole heavyweight debate for JUST this game, puh-LEAZE. i feel like the fence has been clearly defined, as have the positions of everyone on the boards...so i suggest that we concentrate on other issues that pop up during the game. but it's just a thought...

that being said, go kings go! it's payback time. show nash who's boss.

The Kings team you faced in December also sucked. Badly. In a eleven game stretch, you and the Oilers were the only teams we were able to beat. Everyone else beat us.

So we should be better than we were, too.

I would love it if both the CBJ and the Kings made the playoffs. I didn't remember how high scoring the two previous games were until I looked it up today. Looking at it from the CBJ side of things, the first trip to California this season was awesome, the second one sucked.

Should be a good one tonight. Best of luck to the Kings (except tonight and March 11th )

I'll be happy with a split in this back to back but 3 or 4 points would sure be sweet.

Both teams play similar, it's going to be hard work that wins this game, so the Kings better show up tonight.

Watching Jacob Voracek ticks me off about the '07 draft. This player is Justin Williams+ in the making. When Ryan Johansen( 4th overall '10, Portland Winterhawks centerman ) has a couple of years under his belt, watch out, that line will be among the best in the league.
