geez...just send del zotto down to work on his game! eminger has been playing very well, there's no need to bench him.

Eminger = Present
Del Zotto = Future

Disagree with Eminger leaving the lineup, it's amazing how quick the dude fell into Torts' dog house.

Would much rather have Gilroy sit for a bit.

Also, would love to see...

Avery - Prospal - Gaborik
Dubi - AA - Cally
EC (gross) - Stepan - Zucc
Newb - Boiler - Prust

as lines tomorrow, but I'm sure we'll see some jumbled disaster as usual. Also really hoping that Newbury sticks around this time and Christensen gets the boot when Wolski comes back.

Did you watch last game? Eminger didn't look too good. (That's understandeable though, considering he hasn't played much of late)

Why does Torts continue to play Gilroy, and WITH Del Zotto?! It makes no sense whatsoever.

Well said....I agree, Torts has a long memory, one mistake and you sit, it puts too much pressure on these guys, MDZ belongs in the minors he has been transparent...

With the exception of the first goal, Eminger looked fine.

wow, wtf is wrong with Torts?

DZ sits and we win. ride the lineup that is getting us wins. when we lose, THEN make changes.

Torts is doing it backwards.

unbelievable. has me

Not so sure Eminger had such a huge role in the win.

Eminger really had no part in our win over the Pens. 4 minutes played, scored a goal against us.

With Wolski out, Del Zotto in makes sense for the power play.

He definately looked out of place, but...I hate that thought process. "Only as good as your last game". I would rather see him learn from what he did and press on. Let him continue to develop into this system. Eminger has had a solid season so far. Plus...The team seems to win when he is in the lineup. He's got that Sean Avery factor! I think he can and should be a part of this team moving forward and personally I am totally OK with sending MDZ down to the Whale for the rest of the season.

That's nice, but it still doesn't answer me why he would pair the two worst defenseman on the team together.

Because he wont play them much. Especially not on the PK or against good lines.

There is no place on message boards for such sound logic and rational thought, Fitzy.

I agree with you completely on this one.

It can actually be argued that we won in spite of Eminger on Sunday. Responsible for a goal against and logged only 4 minutes, forcing Staal to play almost 30 minutes and Girardi around 27 minutes.

Our defense is not in a great situation right now. Eminger, DZ, and Gilroy have been unreliable. Any combination of the two that plays is going to be troublesome.

Why replace Wolski with a 4th liner in Newbury. Much rather have Williams or Grachev get another game. And with Newbury called up my bet is Weise will be dealt for a draft pick at the deadline and is no longer in their plans...

So we put Eminger in the lineup for one game, his first game in weeks, he is a little rusty and we sit him again. Whatd they expect? When guys dont play for a while theyre not always on their game.

I could see Avery getting bumped up to another line and he has skill so it's not that big of a deal. If this was a long term injury, Grachev would probably get the call but Wolski will be back soon.
