Bogosian seems like the type to wanna play in a big market if he isn't fitting well in Atl, I don't think he'd be suited for CBJ as much or better.

Both players are Pre-Madonna's...They should be happy that they have a chance in the NHL and learn.

As opposed to Post-Madonna's?

I don't think even Chris Chelios is a Pre-Madonna; I'm sure her songs were hits before he entered the league.

Pre-Lady Gaga then.

What's this thread about?

That really made me laugh. I believe you meant "prima donnas", unless youre referring to something completely different...

columbus has a pretty significant hockey market (and more importantly a ridiculous sports market with money) and one of the best arenas, if not the best, in the entire league..

From what I have heard, Bogosian's qualm is with coaching/management and not Atlanta as a market. Atlanta might not even trade him if they can smooth things over during contract talks. He is just an RFA afterall.

I would go as high as Filatov + Tyutin for him or Filatov + Klesla + pick.

Primadonna has nothing to do with Madonna.

this thread was good for so much more than the initial fantastical proposal.

I guess that's why they average 400 more fans a game than the Thrashers?

The market is more than attendance. I don't know what the latest figures are, but I know Columbus generally has surprisingly high playoff and Olympics ratings.

The Jackets need to win to get the fans to come. Especially with OSU basketball being so good. The city cooled on the Jackets in December because of their long stretch of badness.

Because our attendance has always been like this and people go to watch teams that perpetually stink, right?

we just recently sold out a game against the ****** oilers.. there are way more hockey fans in columbus than there are seats in nationwide. there is a graph that shows attendance since the team has come into the league and it is just a slow progression downward as the team has continued to lose.

people would much rather spend their money to see OSU win at everything than the jackets lose. when the jackets become contenders, nationwide will be sold out every game again.
