Caps lead with <2 min left.

Update: Caps win with Semin's hat-trick. Thanks!

I've given up watching the standings, nothing that happens to other teams matters if we can't win.

I'm willing to hold out hope that things will get better when Benn and Burish get back - right in time for the March Pacific push. If this team can get their **** together for that, then we'll be OK. If we're still showing the same lack of mental fortitude come the trade deadline, then we should sell.

At this point I'd be all over packaging Neal with a pick for Bogosian or any other young PMD.

I fail to see how that had anything to do with the play. Ray Ferraro is an idiot.

I watched the Stars feed. He got beat up the ice when he had a chance to at least pressure Staois. It was the most noticeable lack of effort I've seen this year from any Stars player.

Backside pressure defending against a shorthanded chance might be important if say Richards was the guy back and Bourque or Glencross were attacking. But do Woywitka and Lehtonen seriously need a safety cushion against Steve ****ing Staois? Apparently so. Damn you Ribeiro.

So it's okay to give up a slapshot from inside the slot wide open when you have an extra freaking guy on the ice? If you like seeing that kind of effort, I don't know what to tell you.

Of course not. And it was Woywitka's responsibility to not give up that shot.

Ribeiro had a chance to TRY to make a play and literally made NO effort. Those kinds of things add up to losing 9 of 11.

Riberio was also on the ice for close to 90 seconds on that PP trying to push something offensively. Brad didn't the same thing earlier this year, when Craw's using guys for almost the full PP its not surprising they try to get off ASAP.
