gauthier would be stupid to move weber imo.

he's been too good for us and he's too young.

I would not give up Weber for the two of them though. He's playing so damn well. He's actually chewing up more ice-time on a playoff team than Klesla is on a non-playoff team (of late). Weber can also play all 3 situations in comparison to Klesla.

I would be willing to move picks/prospects for the package.

Maybe Tinordi (our 1st round pick this year) and something else. Like a Ben Maxwell or Aaron Palushaj or 2nd rounder. I wouldn't say no to involving Kostitsyn either.

I'd also be in favour of adding Huselius alone, but only for a mid-round pick/prospect.

Huseluis - Plekanec - Kostitsyn
Pacioretty - Gomez - Gionta
Pouliot - Desharnais - White
Moen - Halpern - Darche
Pyatt

Hamrlik - Wizniewski
Klesla - Weber
Picard - Subban
Nash
I don't agree one bit with you....sorry. Also no Cammy? I'm also no crasy about trading Tinordi so quick after drafting him and certainlain not for either player. Weber has been better and I would hate to lose him but for Klesla......ok maybe you are right on that one.
Also, if you think we got beaten up vs Boston, my guess is that Huselius would go MIA. He is skilled and all but far from gritty and with a big cap number....NO THANK YOU.

Weber would be a nice piece to try and work with in CBJ. Poor franchise just can't get any help down the middle or on the back-end for Mr. Nash.

As soft as Huselius is, I'd be willing to give up that offensive dynamo Pyatt for him.

If there is the names of CBJ players, the rumor is wrong.
The Habs = Area 51 ! No joke !

Klesla seems to be on the IR all the time... only 1 full season in his career.

I'm not real anxious to let Weber go. He's been surprisingly steady. He was put on the p.k. about a month ago and since then has not been on the ice for a goal against while shorthanded. He really helped solidify that unit after we went into a bit of a tailspin when Gorges went down.

Also, he has a sweet shot, hard and accurate that he's starting to learn how to get on net. He gets 2nd unit PP time with us too.

He has the same amount of points as Klesla in 16 fewer games and is a plus player overall. He has been really steady over the last 20 games especially. Klesla is also much more expensive and injured a lot. About the only thing Klesla has over Weber is size.

We could use a Klesla type player to replace one of our older d-men in the top 4 like Spacek, Gill or Hamerlik, but to replace Weber is a sideways move at best. I'd rather give up something else and have both Weber and Klesla on the blueline, along with Subban.

No way I want any part of Huselius. Soft. Soft. Soft. OTOH, if Huselius is a must take to get Klesla then we should consider it. He can take AK's spot...on the roster and in the doghouse. Plus, it's only one year.

Since we added Mara to our blueline last night, we no longer need defence. Once Gill and Spacek come back from their injuries, we'll be fine on the blueline. The Habs still need size, grit and skill in our top 6 forwards!!! That is where we should be focusing!

Trade Kostitsyn ASAP!!! He's shown flashes of brilliance this season, but then he'll go on a 10 game stretch where he's invisible out on the ice. He's so inconsistant that he's not worth having around IMO. There is no reason why he couldn't play hard all season long and put point on the board consistantly, but for some reason he can't do it. Time to send him packing and find someone to replace him that will do the job of a top 6 forward.

I have to think this is in case Columbus or Montreal becomes a seller at the deadline. I can't imagine these teams trading roster players. They both need to add, and neither can afford to subtract.

If either can get roster players for picks and prospects they might do it.
