while I agree Fisher is worth more, he also has a not so great contract... and Glencross is our #1 PKer for the record... also remember Fisher recieved a 1st and a conditional 2nd... I can see Glencross landing just a 1st, or maybe a 2nd and a conditional pick if dealt

I could see a 2nd + conditional late round pick or throw in prospect like Shirokov who was suggested earlier but when was the last time we saw a 1st get dealt for a Glencross calibre guy?

Also Fisher's actually salary works out at 3.66 for the last 3 years of his contract which matters more to a team like the Preds than his cap hit.

There are 60 1st/2nd lines in the league, with 180 players on those lines, and the guy with the 48th ranking in goals isn't one of those 180 players. Whatever. Even if you argue that 90 of the 180 players aren't deserving of a top 6 position (which is completely logically flawed, but I've seen it argued), Glencross still makes the cut as a solid 2nd liner.

weak argument, Malkin has 15 goals this year...so does that make him a 3rd liner based on your stats?

A hot streak doesnt make a guy more than what he is...

Gladly is an understatement. Glencross would look awesome on our 3rd line and it would slide Torres down to the 4th. Win-win.

the other day in Versteeg actually... the 2 are fairly similar except Versteeg is signed... while I'm not saying Glencross will get a 1st i think its a definite possibility, maybe even likely if its a conditional one based on him re-signing

also consider the concensus is that this is a weak draft year

Given the market this year, that sounds about right. Depends on individual team need, though.

Leafs could be a good fit. Leaf 2nd + Philly 3rd for Glencross? He wouldn't hurt on our third line alongside Armstrong.

Think about how ridiculous your post sounds.

You go out to say that Glencross is better this year then Fisher, yet his trade value (according to you) is significantly lower.

I am one of the biggest Fisher fans in the world, but for the past 2 seasons he has not been any better then Glencross. His past is his past, and yes he used to be a beast in this league. But that hollywood wife ruined his career (imo).

Glencross is easily worth a 2nd and come deadline he'd be worth a 2nd+a decent prospect or maybe even a 1st to some teams.

Still if Feaster can sign him, get it done. He has a great work ethic, fearless, and puts up points in streaks. The aspect of his game that will make him worth his money is his work ethic consistency, every shift, every game.

As a guy who watches glencross and fisher a lot, I'd say you are out of your element on this one.
