Wow. Totally worth having a radio interview for that.

Beside I agree with you on the Habs needs, I have to say I really dislike seeing "Pyatt" and "grinder" in the same sentence...

Dumont is a healthy scratch for Nashville tonight. That may make him harder to scout. Who else would Montreal be looking at?

I hope it hasn't already been proposed. I've got a nice one.

To Nashville :
Kostitsyn
Weber

To Montreal :
Kostitsyn
Weber

That may have confused Mike Milbury long enough to make him agree, but we're talking about David Poile here, unfortunately for us, Habs fans.

Well right now, maybe Dumont and Spacek are part of the deal. Spacek doubtful for tonight, but they didn't indicate what was wrong with him. Dumont a healthy scratch.

It might be to make sure no injuries????

If rumors are true about possibly Kostitsyn going to Nashville.

Maybe its:

Kostitsyn
Spacek

for

Dumont
????? <-------- This is what Montreal's scouting staff and assitant GM and Pierre Gauthier are really going to Nashville to scout. Who knows?

Maybe:

Kostitsyn
Spacek

for

Dumont
O'Brien
Roussel

Would that be a deal the Preds would make?
I'd say that looks like something both sides should seriously consider.

I can see Spacek being traded for Dumont. Those are pretty equal contracts next year, and both are expendable at the END of the year for both teams.

That being said, Spacek is still a decent defender and we would need something of a defender back from Nashville. I guess that is why it is possible that Spacek and Kostitsyn could be involved in a deal for Dumont + but that plus would have to be decent from Nashville as Kostitsyn and the + are the valuable pieces for both teams. Spacek and Dumont are just exchangeable bad contracts.

However, why would Poile take the chance of distracting Sergei with his brother? Sergei is on pace for a much better all around season than Andrei, and has a much better ingrained role as well.

So can we leave Dumont out of this now?

He was a healthy scratch in the first of the 3 games, so i'm guessing he's not being "showcased". If Nashville throught Montreal would remotely consider taking him, they have had him playing. I'm also sure Montreal would have let Nashville know they wanted to see him if they had.

Thank god.

Unless the Habs knew they wanted him, so the Preds scratched him to avoid injury. The Habs would then be scouting for there prize for taking his contract.
